I love the trophies.
I thought it was a bit odd that they introduced another pair of brute brothers (unless I misread their description). At first I thought they were announcing Pavium and Voridus from HW2 as characters in Infinite which would’ve lead to all sorts of new speculation. Their concept art looked pretty good, but leaves me to wonder why they are holding back the actual in game renders. I hope they don’t bait and switch us with completely different in game designs.
Hyperius looks really threatening and brutal so I really love his look.
Tovarus looks more stealthy, the opposite of his brother.
Honestly they both look really cool, I can’t wait to learn more about them.

Would not be surprised if Voridus is dead with Pavium along with him. Atriox was pretty explicit that if they failed with their salvage operation (which they for sure did) Voridus would be executed, with Pavium potentially being killed as well.

Both Brutes look great. Hyperius is supposed to be more menacing with those trophies on his armor (Spartan fingers, possibly Locke’s helmet on his shoulder, possible Arbiter armor piece on his right thigh, but it could be a bone of some creature) and Tovarus seems to be more stealthy
It looks like hyperius has the top piece of Locke’s chest piece under the red spikes that hold Locke’s upper helmet. So Locke probably has most of his armor destroyed or he got killed off.

Is 343 sharing unreleased story beats with Waypoint mods now? There’s a lot more suggesting that he has than he hasn’t, and I think fans deserve the right to celebrate the removal of such a horribly used character.

True, there’s no fooling you. But the humiliation of having your helmet smashed in, stolen, and raggedly strapped down to an enemy’s shoulder to be worn as a trophy is possibly a fate worse than death. It’s certainly satisfying for me.

There is sugesstion there, but no confirmation unless someone has a source stating that Locke has been killed off. I don’t like misinformation spreading, so I’m making sure to clarify that this is something that hasn’t been confirmed in any way right now.
here’s the thing with the hunter helmet on hyperious we don’t know if it is Locke’s helmet it could just be another spartan wearing that armor that was killed by him for all we know Locke could still be alive

I still struggle to understand what Locke did to warrant such an odd fixation on him being brutally killed or humiliated. I see this kind of attitude ever so often and it just comes off as strange.
Personally, if 343 killed off Locke, I might have to give myself some distance from Halo. I’d like to see Locke be given more improvement and refined. Killing him off is lazy.

Unyshek replied to Halo Canon and others on Twitter basically saying he isn’t dead.
Don’t forget Jega 'Rdomnai. I’m honestly more interested how he will work and what kind of fight he will put up.
Edit: I truly believe 343 messed up with that toy. I know that plenty of spartans can wear the same armor…BUT how many “Official characters” do you see wearing the same armor and same color? ZERO is how many. If Locke isn’t dead he’s MIA… Same thing for spartans.
Hyperious is definitely a Spartans worst nightmare, Spartan Fingers for a Necklace, Locke’s Hunter Chestpiece & Helmet strapped to his shoulder, and I believe he has a piece Arbiter’s Armor on his leg, if I were my Spartan I’d be terrified to confront him
