I was disappointed, only because there was a 3 day countdown and a trailer for an audio file. Obviously I was hoping for more, even one rendered photo of New Mombasa would have been awesome, but it was just audio. Now I have to wait a week to see what the countdown was for. Oh well, doesn’t damage my belief that “hunt the truth” will pay off in the end.

Stop acting like such an impatient child by pointing fingers and insulting 343i when they did nothing wrong in this instance. Hunt the truth is not close to being over.

Oh boo hoo.
All 343 did was put out a tweet to the website with the teaser and a countdown. That’s all they did. 343 didn’t hype it at all. All the “hype” was fan created. Blaming 343 is childish.
The two major guesses: ARG or Trailer, neither fit or would have been more of a let down, in my opinion. I think the idea that it was going to be an ARG was crazy. You don’t tend to countdown to an ARG, you just start it. As for a trailer, It would be one 2 minute video and it would be over. At least with this we’re getting something every week for a while.
Personally, I’m excited to see where this goes.

Agreed. I went to website and listened to the clip. I can’t wait to hear more. And that’s because I’m a visual learner. But halo is halo. I love the lore. It’s not always about being a Michael bay film if you know what I mean. Sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Oh yes, how terrible of 343 to provide us a weekly episodic ARG with narration that also shows how much they care about the Halo franchise by incorporating and fleshing out a character from the Halo Graphic Novel who Bungie may have just forgotten about.
