When using the hydra launcher against exposed vehicles (mon/gungoose, warthogs, ghost) does it lock onto the vehicle or does it lock onto the enemy spartan on it?
I don’t know, I’ve never had a dehydrated in the in war zone assault what alone tried aming one at a vehicle. I’ll put that on my to do list
Im pretty sure it locks onto the Spartan inside the vehicle. Whether they are the driver or passenger (in the case of a warthog or mon/gungoose)
Either or. I have tested this out many times. 8/10 times the hydra will lock onto the turrent, bumper, or wheel. 2/10 times it will lock onto the spartan’s head.
Edit: for the ghost it will lock onto the weak point of the vehicle however you must be looking dead at that spot during the “locking on” phase.
I’ve only ever had it lock onto the Spartan. I’m pretty sure it can do either depending on where you’re aiming, but out of habit I’m usually aiming for the body, not the vehicle with most weapons.

Getting dehydrated in a Warzone is pretty brutal. Drink some water buddy!
I used it last night in a BTB strongholds game, i aimed mostly at spartans but killed 1 guy of the mongoose and the mongoose survived. killed 2 in a warthog due to it blowing up, granted i fired 2 extra rounds. Thats what got me thinking if it locks on the spartan, the vehicle, or either.
The hydra lockes on the Spartan not the vehicle.

This is what I’ve noticed as well. Seems to lock onto the Spartan doesn’t mean that is the only case.
