I know there was some discussion early on about this. I’d like to re-open that discussion since BTB release.
Early on I thought the Hydra was pretty fantastic. Now, after weeks of BTB, I think this thing needs some dressing.
- Lock on needs an increase.
- Rocket speed needs an increase.
- Rocket A.I Tracking needs some tightening.
I just think in BTB especially Strongholds, when people take a Ghost, Tank, Gungoose or Warthog and sit on the Stronghold, the Hydra needs to be a much more explosive weapon.
I feel it’s pretty balanced. It’s a stealth weapon, not a stand a fight weapon.
I agree with you on it being a stealth weapon. I still think it remains a stealth weapon even with these adjustments though

No…no…and no
Eh, maybe an additional 25% increase in targeting range, but other than that it’s good.
Hydra is fine. Changing the rocket speed would impact the tracking. With the right positioning the only time you are vulnerable is during the lock on - and not much can take you out in the short time frame. After the lock on you have time to get to cover and kill the target with impunity (assuming they don’t jump to cover) by shooting around your cover.
very anti vehicle for ghosts and gooses sometimes hogs
for personnel its very tricky to use and best used when they dont see you or you get the jump on them
Gets me kills, worth the pick up
