TrueSkill 1-50 to show player skill/match players of similiar skill, with a REACH style ranking system to show how much/long you have been playing.

Do you think this sounds reasonable?
I was thinking that both 1-50 and Cr should be back.
That way you can earn armor without having to rank up.
But some armor pieces would require a certain rank tho.
It is my firm belief that Halo 4 should have a strict trueskill ranking system to match players, and a generous progression system to advance players.
As for the specifics, I don’t really care other than they should not tie into each other at all.
It doesn’t really matter. I do think there is a subset of players who crave the self justification of a visible skill based great, so sure a 1-100 rank is fine. A Cr system should go though. Time played should matter, but any kind of in-game currency that eventually becomes meaningless irks me. I’d rather it be based on games finished. Perhaps with some armor modifications based on in game accomplishments… headshots, beatdowns, wins, losses, certain hard to obtain medals (like a perfection). Looking like a badass should mean you are one of sorts.
So long as matching provides good and even competition it will play great.
If everyone’s BPR or True-skill tag is visible in the MM lobby, people might bail out of games to avoid opponents that are too good and/or teammates that aren’t good enough. I personally would want this power, because I like to win. I’m an average player, so having better than average players on my team is nice. But I realize it would also work against me as often as it worked in my favor.
I don’t know. But I’d guess that the overall MM experience would probably suffer if the individual players get too much information with which to make self-serving choices. Just a thought.
As long as the system avoids awful mismatches when it composes the teams, it’s probably a good thing that noobs are mixed in with serial killers. Noobs learn to get better quicker, so the overall competition improves.
