HW2 Corrupted, Can't Play

The Xbox One X update really screwed up my game. I tried updating but it got interrupted so I retried with no luck. I then uninstall the game to just reinstall everything. I put the disc in and get a notification saying installation started… except it didn’t. I go into My Game & Apps but it isn’t in the queue. I try ejecting and putting the disc back in, now something else happens. I get a message saying “Please try again. That did not work for some reason.” It also gives me the code 0x80070057. I enter the code on the Xbox website and it gives me this message: “Error 80070057 occurs when watching a video or redeeming a prepaid code on Xbox 360”. I’m not even on a 360, I’m on my XB1X trying to play an XB1 game. After all this weirdness it just gets weirder as I go to manage game on HW2 and apparently it says the game is installed at 13gb. How can it be installed if I just uninstalled it and it won’t let me reinstall it? I go to see the game in store and click install. There’s 43gb to install and it is in fact installing, finally getting somewhere… aaaand it gets interrupted at 9gb and won’t continue. Back where we started, the confusing cycle continues.

So that’s where I’m at right now. My Xbox thinks the game is installed even though I uninstalled it, the game won’t launch and gives me that 360 error code, and I can only partially install that 43gb update. Anyone else on this situation and/or know what to do?

EDIT: It’s also worth noting that I had already tried to update the game on my previous xbox with similar problems. I had gotten two separate updates at different times. One was 17gb and that updated flawlessly, the second was i think the 43gb update and that failed like it does now. I tried uninstalling the game on my old Xbox but it wouldn’t let me, it was stuck. I also tried transferring it to an external amd tbat also didn’t work even though all my other functioning games did. I factory reset the Xbox once I got my XB1X and hoped a fresh start would fix the problem, obviously it hasn’t. I still have the old Xbox if I need to do anything with it.

This might be the Xbox OS issue…have you looked in the support forums for similar problems?
