I recently bought the Halo Wars 2 Complete Edition on the Microsoft Store. It works, but only for the base game. That’s all I can download. Every time I try to use Awakening the Nightmare, it asks to contact the store, which has me verify my password, at which point the new window just closes without anything reported back whatsoever. I have the season pass, as well as the ATN and Spearbreaker DLC listed as “Owned” in the store, so that’s not the issue. And actually, I can’t even find the area in-game where Operation: Spearbreaker is supposed to be, so I can’t test that.
I have looked into the apps area under settings, and the DLC, nor the season pass, are listed, nor does it say Complete Edition. It just lists the base game. And when I go into the store itself to look in my library and try to download ATN or OS, there is no download link, and they are listed under the “do not work on this device” area, as well as all the leader packs, though those have no problems whatsoever.
Edit - I have found that those are the Xbox versions, which wouldn’t work on the PC for obvious reasons. Still, that leaves me with the problem of getting the DLC as I’m supposed to.
Last night, I deleted the game entirely and made it re-download, just to see if that would help, but it did not. It’s only the base game, once more, all 48.5 ish GB of it. I’m at a loss, and having done a search of the internet, I’ve seen some issues similar to mine, but not quite the same. So, I’m reaching out. Any ideas, anyone?
