Hurry up and give us a release date for Halo infinite please 343
I just need to know what week to book off work as a vacation
My money is on us getting an official release date at gamescom.
Microsoft has stated they roughly know around a 3 week window when they wanna drop the game but they’re waiting to see what other games do first. I hope that happens soon so we can get an actual date already.

Edit: For clarification, Phil Spencer said the would have a 3-4 week window to announce the release date. We are currently on week 4 and next week will mark week 5. Activision probably delayed any Cod announcement due to the backlash they are receiving currently.

I understood this as they had a 3 week timeframe for a release date. Something like between the last week in November to the second week in December for example.

That is not what Phil said. He did say that they know the three-week window in which the game is going to release. I am 100% certain they are waiting on the release date of COD to give it a wide birth so they can maximize the player base on Halo’s release.
343 has no control over when infinite is released. That company is owned by Microsoft. MS is the one that will determine when infinite will come out.

I think one of us understood his comment wrong. The way I took it was internally they know roughly when they want to release within a 3-4 week window, for example anywhere in November, but they are waiting to see when other games are dropping so they could announce theirs after knowing exactly when they wanted to drop. Not as in they were gonna announce a date in 3-4 weeks from Phil’s comment.

How can you say that when we’ve been waiting 6 long years for this game and it way delayed once. If anything we’ve been patient enough.

I think they’ll say the date at the Gamescom event
With the technical previews it should be holiday 2021 without delay this time.

And I’m hoping they announce a release date that comes sooner rather than later (looking at you, Reach) and stick to it this time.
I’m pretty sure it’s going to be in November around Halo CE’s release date, but they probably don’t want to commit to anything solid yet just incase something goes wrong and they need to delay it a week or so is my guess.
