HUNTTHETRUTH EXPLAINED! + HALO 3 TRAILER EXPLAINED

Okay, I’ve read a lot of people creating forum threads arguing that HUNTTHETRUTH is wrong, and that he was kidnapped at 6, not 12.

Just to clarify, yes, he was kidnapped at 6.

HOWEVER, his flash cone obviously didn’t die like it was supposed to. His flash cone obviously lived on.

AND then the Insurrectionists attacked the outer colonies, and took over Elysium City. THAT’S when the flash-cone John went missing (“everyone started disappearing”, “he didn’t come to his first or last boxing session”).

The Insurrectionists kidnapped the clone 117 when he was 12-13, and have their own John!
So, could the clone-John be doing all these evil things for the Insurrectionists… attacking these outer colonies…and framing the real Master Chief? And, perhaps everyone believes it is the real Master Chief causing this chaos when it is actually his flash clone?

And Spartan Locke is after Master Chief, believing it is him doing the traitorous things- when all along it has been his clone?

Finally- the part about the Halo 3 Live action trailer- in case you missed it: When the woman describes John and the other girl Elle lying in the grass at night, that is surely the opening of the Halo 3 live action trailer with the guy and girl lying on the grass at night.

Thoughts?

All the clones died at about that age as well, it was devastating for the parents

First question that comes to mind is how would they have gotten hold of the Mjolnir armour? Second, why would they have they kept John alive when they seemingly abandoned everyone else to die? They had no way of knowing who he would go on to become.

It sounds more like ONI briefing the interviewees on what to say, the story that ONI wants told about the MasterChief

That’s true. But still. Food for thought.

you forgot cheap korean knock-offs.

also, new theory suggests that these interviewees are paid actors or similar. therefore, their stories are fabricated. ONI never wants the truth about the S-II’s to reach the mainstream media. doing so would incite another rebellion, uprising, insurrection, what have you, and the situation would spiral out of control. the only reason ONI told the public about the spartans was for a morale boost, really.

It does kind of make sense if you think about it.

the only reason I could believe in it. Why would only be the chief clone survive? If the chief is the ISO-Didact maybe chief clone is ISO-Didect clone? O.o the clone has something special idk :stuck_out_tongue:

Except that Giraud found a census record listing John’s death at age 6. His clone never got to age 12.

Simplest explanation is that some or all of what Giraud heard from his interviews was false.

Basically, ONI are fabricating a false history for John for whatever reason.

I think ONLY John’s former “teacher” was lying. This “teacher” was an interviewee given to Giraud by ONI, while the childhood friend of John was someone Giraud found through personal research/investigating.

If this is the case, then how did John’s clone live on if the flash clones were notoriously unhealthy? Most died within a matter of months or years. Also, where would the insurrectioists find Mjölnir armour? It’s certainly a plausible theory if there’s a way around these plot holes.

All the clones died.

Is it so hard to believe that maybe John defected from the UNSC to join up with Halsey, and she’s doing bad things and ONI is pinning it on John? Thus sending Locke to kill him AND/OR Halsey?

This whole clone thing is dumb.

After augmentations, John grows to be what? 8 foot tall? Also super speed, super strength, and Mjolnir armor that can’t be worn by a regular soldier.

They wouldnt even look the same anymore. They better not have this whole ‘evil twin’ thing going. It would be dumb.

It is my personal opinion that those who think, at the very least, Dion isn’t a plant are extremely dense or don’t understand the Halo story outside of the games. Ellie and Tom are still up in the air as to whether they’re plants or not (I’m on the side of them being plants as well). Everything Dion told Ben completely contradicts everything we’ve been told about John and the Spartan program. The Boxing story (as well as Ellie’s story about obstacle courses) parallels actual events, but the time and place are totally different.

Let’s stop all of this talk about “false information” and “the clone lived to 12/13.” It simply isn’t the case.

If this clone business is true I’m done with Halo’s story.

Pretty much this. I’m far from a fickle fan and hardly throw shade on 343i, but the clone route would just be pants-on-head stupid. The other route, with chief doing some mysterious stuff while Locke hunts him would be cool, but throw in clones and I am done.

It seems nobody here has researched on the lore of halo. flash clones are real in the halo universe. Look it up.

With elle it’s possible she is legit. She is not found through ONI and it’s possible she moved away before he died. She doesn’t mention his disappearance, or death, but rather she didn’t keep in touch with him through waypoint, unlike her friend. It’s possible she’ll tell her friend and the friend will go “that’s impossible, he died when he was 6!”. Because the fake teacher was giving so much story, Giraud decided not to focus on her.

Really episode 1 really reflects the basics set down in episode 0. This is a routine assignment that starts going weird with cover ups of cover ups. It’s unfortunate people are taking the video as literally as possible and drawing far-reaching conclusions from part 1 of 11.

The interview with the teacher was most likely false. The official documents told a completely different tale than him.

A flash clone that clearly can’t function and dies within a handful of years at most is one thing. A clone that not only grows to be an adult BUT can become a spartan is stupid and trite. So ridiculous in fact that I’m fairly certain it’s never going to happen in halo, but a lot of those here seem to disagree.

Very much this. They were papers that he got from some outer colony scavengers. Papers ONI assumed were gone along with the rest of Eridanus II.
