New episode of Hunt the Truth is out, let’s discuss.
These audio logs just get better and better. I’m sad to hear that’s the last we will hear of Mshak, he was/is one of my favorites in it. I still have no idea who FERO really is, and will leave most of that speculation to the masters. I look forward to hearing the latest theories. Halsey is definitely low on my list of candidates, and getting lower with each episode. Isla Zane is still my top contender. FERO just sounds like an Insurrectionist, and with that spoken phrase “Our Protection…” Guess we will have to wait and see.
I cannot believe the power struggle going on here. Seems a civil war is brewing, with Ben Giraud dividing sides further and further. I have actually been led to wonder, sometimes it may not be worth it to expose the truth… I’m so curious how much this storyline will impact H5G. It’s building to be an epic game if this is just the warmup round.

What is going on is that the Outer colonists are mighty pissed at ONI for using them to breed supersoldiers from their children and leaving them for dead when the Covenant came. A storm is brewing out there, I can sense it. What IS going on? I haven’t a clue in hell.
The music in this episode so far in great and I’m only 7 minutes in. This is too good man, too good.

FERO didn’t go missing, she just cut off her call with Ben after he sent out his info to the senators. I’m sure we’ll hear from her again next week. Mshak on the other hand…
The story about the abductee was also just an extention of the story about one of the trainees from “Homecoming” that killed themselves after going home and seeing their flash-clone (this was briefly touched on last week). So nothing new about that really.
No new information about the Chief or the embassy attack in this one either.
The biggest development is probably the outer colonies communications being cut off at the end there. Looks like we might have another human civil war on our hands.

This is… changing stuff…
Just finished the episode and Im actually shaking from excitement from the episode. Holy crap, this is hands down the best episode so far. Ben just reviced the Insurrection and I think the communication getting cut off to the outer colonies isn’t ONI. From Katrina’s message and Mshak never being heard from again, it sounds like those anomalies are getting closer. Katrina sounded like an attack was going down and there’s no way that ONI would just cut off all comms to the outer colonies because of this little revelation when they were all in the room with senators. But I think Ben will not make it to the end of all this.
I have a bad feeling about this. I almost feel this was a set up of some kind and that instigating the insurrectionists was just to cover up for taking down communications so Earth and the Inner colonies won’t be in the know when the entire array of outer colonies gets wiped out by some unknown force. Also now with ONI scrambling and focused on itself it’s going to be less likely to realize what is happening before it’s too late.

Freeze his bank account? They should probably send a swortsword and freeze the damn -Yoink- with cryo bombing instead!
And has the genius understood he started a revolution in the outer colonies? Will the anomalies do the clean up job for UEG as covenant did? Or are they rebel stuff too?
If a human civil war is the set of halo 5, I can see how it’s going to be darker than those before.
I’m gonna listen again, see if I can make proper sense of it this time.
It’s happening people! Oni has been exposed by Benjamin and put on full blast for their violations of ethical conduct. The outer colonies have been cut off in fear of a secessionist/seperatist that has exploded. Does this hint to fighting human eniemes in Halo 5 as Locke? Considering that the outer colonies would eat anything alive with the word ONI on it.

I doubt that Halsey would join the rebels after doing herself all those things the rebels now accuse ONI of…
I mean, she would use anyone as instrumental for her goal (humanity’s salvation=librarians mission), but the rebels would have a hard work saying “ONI abducted children, replaced them with clones, augmented them and made them into spartans that have now become traitors that kill our ambassadors and help the aliens, we want ONI to be shut down and have the woman who did all the above and the chief on our side”. Sounds illogical, doesn’t it?

Well since FERO is called the “Rebel Leader” in the starring cast, probably a member insurrection. Would not suprise me if it is the Insurrectionists or some new seperatist movement

I admit Halsey is a bit of a stretch, but John? Blue Team? Those can actually make sense.
So what’s going on at the end of the episode?
Has ONI somehow shut down all communications accross the outer colonies? They can do it just like that?

How? It wouldn’t make sense for Chief and Blue Team to publicly denounce themselves as traitors; remember the entire point of this story is exposing the Spartan program. Spartans wouldn’t do this. And besides, FERO is an Insurgent, this has been confirmed.
