Hunter/Mgalekgolo
12’ tall
10,500lbs

Heavily armoured, nearly impervious to small arms fire, has Fuel Rod cannon, massively powerful
Cons
Slow
Promethean Knight melee class
10’ tall
1,000lbs
Pros
Fast, strong shielding, teleportation, spawns Watchers, which intern may make Crawlers?
Cons
Weapons may not hurt Hunter from the front, Melee strength is far out matched
Halo CE hunter would lose any other halo game hunter would win
> Halo CE hunter would lose any other halo game hunter would win
Well for the sake of argument let’s assume that the Halo 4 Hunter is similar to the Reach Hunter.
Another pro for Hunter:
-high senses. In CE, you could see their spikes rattling.
> Knights are easily much faster and more agile than the hunter. So much that a knight should easily be able to dodge a Hunter’s melee from point black range, and the hunter’s fuel rod gun should be even less of a problem to dodge.

> The addition of crawler’s flanking crawlers and watcher’s shielding are huge problems for the slow hunter. Teleportation doesn’t help it either.
Well said.
Hunters already have poor prioritization and since prioritizing Prometheans is not always going to be set (according to 343 and at least for Master Chief), it would be very difficult to implement prioritization for Hunters.
Since there is no right target, the Hunter would be screwed. Seeing them try would be interesting though.
> Halo CE hunter would lose
Well of course. Their armor has health. The CE Hunter is at a major disadvantage if health and damage is considered.
A Promethean Knight picked up and disintegrated an Elite like a ragdoll, and they look to be tough.
Prometheans can teleport…

People that have played Spartan ops say that the Promethean Knights are hunter strength up close.
I vote for the Knight.
Hunters are slow while the Knights are much more agile and they can teleport. Knights would win.
The Knight would be able to teleport/dodge out of the way of the Hunter’s blows and get behind it easily, to start hacking at it. Their melee seems to be enough to take down Chief’s shields in one hit so it should be able to hack the Hunter to death.
Then, of course, it would have to deal with the second Hunter…
But I still think it would win because it can spawn reinforcements to heal it (Watcher). Also, it can dual-wield a ranged-weapon with a melee weapon and attack with both effectively, while Hunters can only dual-wield their cannon with a shield and cannot attack with both simultaneously.
Hunters are only dangerous when fought two-at-a-time, when fought with low ammo (because then you might have to resort to melee), when fought without cover or when supported by other Covenant. Otherwise, I believe Knights are more difficult to fight.
Makes me wonder how Chief gets out of the situation at the end of the E3 presentation. I mean, replace all the Knights there with Hunters and you’ll realize how bad the situation is.
After seeing the spartan Ops video where the Knight knocked a player back many feet, I’d have to vote for the knight.
after spartan ops gameplay
knights have shown me that they’re by far the most threatening enemies in Halo ever
it’s been played on easy and that shows much
Well Promethean knights aren’t too hard to kill, if there are multiple then they’re pretty difficult, but they knights themselves aren’t all too fierce (Comic Con build) they’re harder than elites but not nearly as much of a pain as hunters.
But for the sake of fiction, i’d say the hunter would win if the Knight didn’t spawn watchers, who then spawned crawlers, I think the crawlers would be the hard part, they’d overpower the hunter by spamming into it from all sides.
My guess is that Promethean Knights are just a bit stronger than Elites, so I’m guessing that a Hunter would most likely win. I highly doubt the Covenant is just going to get massacred against the Prometheans; like the UNSC, they will put up a good fight.
The problem with the Hunters is that they always come in pairs, meaning that they can deploy different tactics. One is the bait and the other watches and learns. (have you ever noticed that when you play firefight in reach that one hunter will charge you and constantly stay in CQC to see how you will react and that the same trick you used on the first hunter almost NEVER works.)
The teleporting isn’t a problem for the hunters, because of their senses. (crouch and try to sneak up behind a hunter in firefight with the deaf and near-sighted traits on while using camo…they’ll -Yoink!- slap you.) When the knights teleport, they take are immobile for a second while re-materializing, giving a hunter enough time to crush him with the shield…or the pair can do a semi-phalanx and cover each others weak points.
Victory - Hunters
The Hunter because it is badass.
I thought of Promethean Knights as a mix of Elites and Hunters.
They are very agile and just like the Elites commanders of the battlefield.
But they’re also amazingly strong and can knock you back just like a Hunter.
They can definitley defeat Hunters and they will be one of the most difficult enemies yet.
But they’ve only shown us 3 classes of the new enemies, so there are still 4 unrevealed.
So maybe there will be stronger enemies than even the Knights.
The knight. No matter what, it is faster, has more powers, and can teleport. It just needs to teleport once, maybe twice, and it can whack the Hunter in the back.
We talking more or gameplay?
