is any one having trouble completing this i have spent the weekend playing through warzone maps and participated in multiple hunter take downs and and killed at least two but have gotten credit for none

You get the medal if you participate in the kill. You need to get the actual kill (final hit) for it to count for the commendation. That means you can get the boss takedown in game without it counting for your commendation. It is not a bug, that is the way its supposed to be.
