Well for some reason all of my custom maps and configs were deleted hummm. What could done that hummm… Could it have been a hacker?, or could it have been an issue with the MS Azure servers?, or could it have been a issue with 343i, or maybe an issue with with the CGB? I guess I will never know hummm

I feel like a hacker is out of the equation to be honest. Security systems are great these days & I also feel like someone hacking in just to delete a custom game map/mode would be a colossal amount of effort for little gain.
Sometimes the game data has issues, that’s all. As long as you’ve got your back ups then you’re fine…

I hope your right bud! It should have not happen! This is the 2nd time it happened!
Are you on PC? Custom gametypes and forge maps are saved here:
C:\Users<USER>\AppData\LocalLow\MCC\LocalFiles
%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\MCC\LocalFiles
You have a limit of 50 gametypes and 50 forge maps. If you open the .bin and .mvar files in Notepad with Word Wrap enabled then you may find the in-game name and description near the top.
The game shouldn’t be making this stuff disappear but it can be deleted if you uninstall the game.

Ya thanks for the heads up. I wrote a batch file to delete all the temp files in video, map and gametypes for all the game all at the same time. I never have more than 2 or 3 files max in any of my temp files, Also… I have never uninstalled the game since I bought it back in 12/20.
Your ability to maintain your files isn’t a support issue.
