I have just recently started wondering whether any Humans believed in The Great Journey. Has there been any canon indicating or suggesting this (I’m not well versed in the books, although I am hoping to be)?
I believe the Great Journey is essentially the San 'Shyuum’s incorrect interpretation of a phrase shortly before the firing of the Halos, where a Forerunner refers to death as a “great journey”. Humanity didn’t have access to Forerunner tech/records before the war with the Covenant, so they wouldn’t have any sort of religion/belief related to that concept.
The Triad might fall under the category of believing in at least some sort of interpretation of The Great Journey. In short, they believe all life exists in three states, and by combining those three states, one can achieve transcendence. This is similar to how the Covenant believed the Forerunners transcended.

I was leaning more on the side of Humans believing in The Great Journey when they were found by the Covenant, sort of in a similar way to the Covenant faction that worship the Flood when they were discovered
Basing it off of modern day Humans, it is not uncommon for us to fall into a religion or make a new one depending on some events that we experience, so I was thinking the same could be true of Humans discovering the Great Journey

Interesting, it would seem that Dasc believed in the Great Journey due to his prior belief in transcendence. I wonder how many of his followers agreed with him?
This one’s “containment”, and this one’s great journey are the same…
