I was thinking since the Didact states we are the greatest threat, maybe ONI got their hands on a Halo…and we see it in the trailer too.
It’s possible that they do, but I don’t know if that’s why the Didact considers them a threat.
In the Kilo 5 trilogy it states that they have found Installation 03 and built a top-secret research station by the name of Ivanoff in orbit around it. Whether they actually have control of it is another story all together.
They may know where Installation 05 is, if they were able to obtain that information from the Elites after the Covenant fell.
They have a research base on Installation 06 according to the Defender armor description in Halo 4.
Actually, ONI has two known installations. Possibly more.
At the end of Glasslands, it is revealed that Halsey was taken to a station in orbit of Installation 03.Then the description for one of the Halo 4 helmets says it was made from Installation 06.
They could’ve gotten other Halo locations from Forerunner artifacts like one in Reach, or Halo’s control room. As for studying Halos? Maybe to use it to their advantage?
to attune it so it harms only enemies?

Well if that HALO in the trailer was under human control, how did a Covie ship enter human controled space without being shot down, unless it is the Covie seperetist from HALO 3 (The ARBITER).But it’s more likely a rouge HALO that, Jul’Madama finds later on in the campaign and intends to use it on humanity in some way’and he just might let the FLOOD out of containment by mistake and cause another FLOOD outbreak that MASTER CHIEF will have to stop in HALO 5-6.
Just saying it could happen.
Well according to the previous Halo games, assuming we’re not fighting the Covenant on them, then we do have control over the Halos. For whatever reason, the Forerunner gave humans authorization to operate their facilities.

I think that the Didact meant that we are a threat due to our expansive nature - similar to the Agent Smith speach in Matrix 1 - How we spread, consume all resources, how we are so destructive etc…

Haha! I think it was a typo. He probably meant 05 (or maybe 04). Installation 07 is a pretty special one.

I’m not so sure that this one belongs to humanity. The installation seems to be populated as seen from the lighting patterns on the surface. The lighting looks similar to how Requiem first appeared in the Halo 3 legendary ending. It’s a possibility that it belongs to the Storm but I highly doubt that. I think it more likely that it is inhabited by Forerunners. Don’t think it is under ONI control though.

And he just conveniently missed out on the Covenant doing all that.
