I think that they should take a look at the human-Forerunner war and or human -flood war or the Forerunner -flood war
I think fighting in that part of the timeline would be awe inspiring
People have been suggesting this for years. Nice in theory but highly unlikely due to most casual players not caring about Forerunner/Ancient Humanity lore, which would lead to poor sales. Business almost always comes first unfortunately.

While the Forerunner Saga says some of the stuff that happened during the war, there be plenty of room to expand on it. I wonder how it would play differently than the other games. Being ancient Humanity, we’d have far better tech and allow the gameplay to be quite different. I would love it, but I don’t think MS will think the majority of fans will be interested in a game or series of games around this era and conflict.
