So on my first play through of the anniversary edition ( i haven’t played CE since it was on regular xbox) i finally took notice that there are dead UNSC marines on the ground for ammo pick up and health spots while on the covenant ship (TaR) i was wondering, story-wise, how they got there and why there laying dead all over the place? i know that the covenant captured the remaining crew of the Pillar of Autumn but i figured they all got locked up…? does this mean that there implying some got loose and tried to fight and died? please help me shed some light on this… i’m big into the story and am trying to get a good understanding, thanks.
anyone? i just wanted to know the backstory on why theres human bodies in the Truth and Rec before Chief and the 5-10 marines went up thru the Grav lift… i thought they were the first ones to infiltrate… the only explanation i have for this is that they took keys and the rest of his crew, some escaped and tried to fight and died around the ship in various places…??
My guess would be that they tried to attack and failed. I’m probably wrong though.
I noticed this also. I would agree with you that there was some resistance to being captured or there was a previous assault party that failed.
The whole purpose for entering Truth and Reconciliation was to rescue Captain Keyes and his soldiers. The bodies you find likely came from this group who either tried to escape, or snuck on to try and rescue the captain before Chief comes.
