Human architecture like portal 2's aperture?

Is it just me, or do i see a resemblance with the flat white kind of surfaces and stuff?
Im not bashing 343’s art direction here btw, I prefer it but somthing kept bugging me in the sense of “WHAT DOES THIS REMIND ME OF D?:”

NOTE: theyre not the best comparable images as i struggled to find specifics but anyone hos played portal will get what i mean.

I have no idea what you are talking about. “Flat white kind of surface stuff?”
Yepp im lost on this one.

Im triying to say all human buildings look like they were supplied by aperture them selves with their white panles for portal surfaces and similar looking buildings in general.

Not really. Halo 5’s reminds me more of star trek designs With a ton of clean whites and yellows. Almost plastic-like. In Portal 2, a lot of the environment had been changed by growths and vegetation making a far more rusted and old looking design.

they could have picked any colour, and they picked WHITE. you literally paint OVER white to make it interesting.

Not always the case. ex: my Xbox looks cooler as a white system. Same with my controller.

Heh, I wish it looked like Portal 2…

Yes but now imagine your entire neighborhood looking the same way. You’d scratch your head thinking why the hell would anyone think this is a good idea.

If my neighborhood had houses varying in color, then I would move out of my neighborhood.

Well, I wouldn’t actually move out of my neighborhood, it’s just that seeing lots of different houses with different colors would make everything feel separate and independent, as opposed to a neighborhood that has the same style of houses which would feel unified and connected, as bland as they may be.

That’s called a dystopia, mate. Ya don’t want one of those.

I don’t get it…
Aperture Science || UNSC

It reminds me more of the Ark’s structure from the failed game Brink.
