It would be pretty awesome if they incorporate a bigger version of BTB, maybe called Huge Team Battle: 20 vs 20.
Keep the normal BTB player count for people who want a nice medium, but have a Huge Team Battle.
I don’t know, just throwing an idea out there. What do you guys think?
it would but its impossible cause not even warzone has that many players on each team awesome idea though

Yeah, but this would be without AI, so it would be easier to manage. I just figured since Star Wars Battlefront has a 20 vs 20 mode on huge maps and it runs 1080p 60fps as well, I don’t think it’d be impossible. In fact, we should push further for a 30 vs 30.
That would be freaking awesome.
I know I want, though I’d be happy if they just had a separate 12v12 game mode that uses warzone maps sans A.I. opponents.
I would like a bigger version of BTB too, if they just do 12v12 for BTB like warzone, I won’t be happy, there’s no AI in BTB so they need at least a few more people.
Well, is a cool idea. But I am pretty sure that a normal 8v8 Big Team Battle is enough.
…Am I the only one that finds this ridiculous?

Why? It’s rather interesting.

20 vs 20? How is that interesting? The amount of space the maps would have to be would be more than half empty a majority of the time, and pretty much be a rendering nightmare. 12 v 12 is more than enough right now, all people want is ‘bigger bigger’, and they don’t understand the requirements behind it. 20 v 20 would be ridiculous to try and even get a team together. Let alone a good one.

Star Wars Battlefront has 20 vs 20, and it’s at 1080p with consistent 60fps. If you’ve been following the footage, the map is never half empty.
Why would it be so ridiculous for Halo to have it? If nobody ever thought of bigger things, only intimidated by the requirements of certain things, we would be stuck in the 10th century.
P.S. It would only probably require the same amount of rendering as Warzone does.

Technically speaking SWBF can be considered a remake correct?
I don’t know about 20 vs. 20 but 343 should be able to push a few more with no AI.

Star wars isn’t Halo. That simple. DIfferent engines, different renders, different complexity of depth in the engines, etc. If they barely did 24 total, how the hell do you think 20v20 would be conceivable?
No, 12 VS 12 is plenty enough in Warzone and 8vs8 feels good in BTB. Any more than this and it won’t feel tactical. Maybye the number of players can be increased by 2 in each mode but 20 is definitely too much.

Lol relax, man. You win. Thanks for all the enlightenment.

How do you know they “barely did” 24? Did you watch the prototyping, be specific as to how you came to this. Show videos of the fps dropping as soon as they hit 25 players or something. You have that right? Or are you just…talking? Also, do you not think eliminating the dozens of AI from Warzone 12v12 would help with resources? Explain this as well.
People have been asking for 16v16 since Halo 2 was out. It’s almost definitely been tried - multiple times - and either didn’t work for a number of reason or was so far down their list of priorities that what they would need to sacrifice made it nowhere near worth it. So 20v20 is out of the question. They can’t even fit in split screen and, unlike Battlefront 3, it has a Campaign, a ton of MP maps already and things like Forge (which I don’t think SWBF3 has either).
Hell, there’s probably a damn good reason Warzones 12v12 has AI too instead of more players.

I’ve only seen the devs say it wasn’t what they wanted to do, not because it wasn’t possible.
With dedicated servers, and the ability for some of the processing to be handed out to the cloud, I don’t think anyone here is qualified to say how many the max could be. We need to hear it from the devs.
The mechanics of Halo aren’t exactly designed with uber massive scale PvP in mind. That’s probably why Warzone needs AI and HTB isn’t a thing.
