HUGE Problems with Halo 4 from a Halo 1'er

I’ve been playing Halo 4 since its release and i’m not going to start off by saying it isn’t a halo game. It is very clearly a halo game, it just has fundamental problems. Regicide is the only FFA game type atm and I hope they’ll be adding standard FFA this Tuesday or in the near future because Regicide while action packed and fast-paced is completely broken.

I’ll go into a lobby and clearly be the best player but still lose to complete noobs just because of the jack pot system. I’ll get first and hold it for the longest every game but my jack pot goes up to around 40 and every time I die someone automatically gets first place and then I have to work my way back up to w.e my jackpot was just to get back in my deserving first place.

I don’t have halo friends so I cannot jump on and get in a team game lobby and do well, and that is why I usually default to FFA when I play Xbox games. Although It’s a rare occasion for me not to get first in team game types such as odd ball or Infinity Slayer, etc. But even with that being said I find myself on teams who are leagues below me and it drives me nutz. I’m a very good player that is very lost in this game. I have to win and that’s what drives my competitive gaming needs, but in Halo 4 it is unnecessary difficult to even get to a place where I feel comfortable competing.

I’m going to be playing CoD tomorrow and i’ll come back to Halo 4 in the near future, I want to say playing halo 4 with master chief again was very nostalgic. Halo 1 defined me as a gamer and got me into competitive gaming and i’ll always be in its debt.

I understand your MM woes. My skill may not be near yours but my MM experience is less than pleasurable. I recently was in a party of 3 and we were matched up against 4 and 5 players. Do not confuse this with 4 v 4 or 5 v 5 and 1 or 2 players quit from our team. The matchmaking system made the game 3v4 and 3v5. Is this the way it will be. Our 3 players have such a high under the covers rank that we will be paired with more people on the other team?

No I don’t even think any complex MM pairing system has been implemented yet. Like forcing people in a party to fight other people in a party.
