Huge Halo 2 Campaing Co-OP bug

So I was playing Halo 2 Campaign with a friend on Xbox Live

And all of the sudden both games desynced, this meaning that we were playing on different timelines but any action was reflected on both, so let’s say I throw a grenade on my game, and I’m on a spectre on his screen so I do a boost. Terrible bug, ruined a whole night of effort, yet we can’t play Halo 2 without using the playlist and now that desyncs…

After 1 hour on the mission Quarantine Zone is frustrating to encounter this, after 20 minutes of partially resyncing our checkpoints the game crashes and kicks me out of MCC

Its a bug that’s been around since the game was launched, which among others only occur during online co-op but not in single player. De-synching occurs either in the wraiths area or in the open area right before the gondola ride on quarantine zone, where you and your friend are split up into a different game world with the other player now controlled by a dummy ai that gets itself killed or runs in a straight line. Sadly there is no fix for this issue and its not a problem with your connection, but 343 sloppy design of the games network programing.

Only 343 can fix this issue but they have chosen not to do so over the past few months, probably they no longer care about this games online co-op campaign issues. My advice is to avoid quarantine zone on co-op, and just do it on single player. Don’t expect a fix for this bug any time soon either, this bug was first reported back in November and still no fix for that bug and other co-op related campaign bugs Halo MCC has. Sorry you had to face this problem.
