HUD

Honestly, the HUD seen in halo 5 (Story mode) was a very good detail on the part of 343, it would be great that for the next installment the HUD is reflected in the multiplayer for each helmet and that each player has their HUD depending on the helmet that Take, never in a halo delivery will you have a different HUD (up to halo 5 with its story mode) but taking this option to the infinite halo multi would be a good idea for more “realism” and that one sits inside that armor like a spartan.

I’m not sure if they’ll quite go as far as a different HUD per-helmet (though i may be wrong) - for one thing that potentially risks creating an unintentional meta where one helmet is considered better for certain playstyles. However, I do wonder if we’ll see increased player customisation of HUD elements coming in both from an accessibility and a personalisation view - we’re already seeing that in MCC flighting which i see as being a testbed environment for Infinite in may ways.

I just want the bullets to return, and the ammo placement to go back up to the top right. It was so effective and worked with how vertical Halo is. You could look up at a glance and instantly recognize how full your magazine was. I really don’t wanna have to think about how I have 15 shots left in my BR magazine.

And the bullets had some character!

I did like the HUD being slightly different for each character in Halo 5’s campaign. Honestly one of the few things they did do right for H5 campaign lol. That being said, I did feel a little claustrophobic playing as Blue Team because of the little helmet things on the corners as well as the small FOV. I doubt they will have different HUDs for different helmets for multiplayer as that would create an unfair advantage. Even if it didn’t, it would probably be better for 343 to avoid anything that could even be construed as giving an advantage.

I am indifferent toward whether the ammo placement should be top or bottom, although I do really like the look of the HUD from the screenshot they showed in the most recent Inside Infinite. I like how blue it looks, and the icons look more solid than they did in the demo, which was a little harder to see for me. I do agree the little bullet pips had character to them, but maybe there will be a toggle to change it.
