Very true! I respect yours and everyone else’s opinions as well… Hopefully my post didn’t come across as being pompous or elitist.
I don’t like it when a HUD is cluttered, but it could be much worse. Take a look at BF3. Whenever you score points, get a ribbon or rank up it pops up in the middle of your screen. The thing showing the status of a flag you’re close to is also very annoying because it’s just above your crosshair.
I do agree with OP, I too thought that the HUD was extremely cluttered when I watched the PAX gameplay earlier. Oh well, I guess when you’re not playing the game you look around a lot more and notice things.
It doesn’t look too bad, although you don’t need to know you’re holding a Flag, Bomb, Oddball, etc if you can see it in your hands. They probably did that for consistency with Regicide.
Only major problem I can see with it is if they don’t add options for Split Screen, remember in Reach when you had “(Player with very long name1) killed (Player with very long name2) with a headshot” covering your reticle when playing split screen?
I just don’t like how in the middle of the screen it tells you when you killed someone. It’s distracting when it’s right above your reticle. The shield beeping sounds to high pitched and seems distracting as well but those are my only real complaints.
> I don’t see why you need to be told you’ve killed someone in two different places on the screen… Seems very unnecessary.
I like it when it tells you so you don’t have to look to the killfeed to see if you killed someone, got a headshot, or just an assist. The killfeed is for everyone to see.
