i am curious about the halo 4 sniper rifle, since all i do in halo games is snipe. there isn’t a lot of footage on it so i wanted to see if anyone knew about it on the forums. my main question is–is it difficult to use? im talking halo 3 style sniping i guess. if you sniped in halo 3 for a long time and switched to reach, you would turn from being a mediocre sniper into a community wide pro…respectively.
my point is that halo 3 sniping was hard and reach wasn’t very challenging at all; so i would like to hear from people that have played the game at e3 or people that know from people who played the game. i heard that the auto aim was turned down but im not sure if that’s just a rumor.
i also don’t care so much that it looks like a printer is mounted on top of the rifle as long as it plays well. i need a challenge again. halo 3 community is small and it will get even smaller when halo 4 comes out. so i need a game to migrate to haha.

From what I’ve seen and heard, it’s quite heavy and difficult to use (as it should be).
I would believe it’s like Halo Reach sniper, press the button then scope, BOOM! Headshot.
I think it’s more like H3’s (read that somewhere). Not as easy to use as the one from Reach. It’s a good thing if you ask me.

It’s ugly, but still appears to perform like a halo sniper. It is just heavier and has much recoil kick to it.
Also the sound is crap. At least it has more skill factor to it.
I think I was better in H3 than I am in Reach 
I could use the BR pretty well, AR + melee in every scenario, and I could actually land several sniper kills and “No Scopes” before getting killed.
Reach…I don’t know what happened. I might be decent, MAYBE average with every other weapon, but I can’t even touch the Sniper rifle.
I love the sniper so far. I got a chance to use it. It feels so powerful. There is a lot of recoil though so I believe it will take more skill to use than previous games.
From what I understand, it is harder to use than the Reach one and it feels heavy with the recoil being noticeable.
But that scope is sooooo big and ugly. I don’t know why they couldnt make it similar to the snipers in Reach/CEA, those are the best looking ones in the series.
