Managed to knock out the weekly last night. Had to get completely -Yoink!- face drunk in order to play bad enough to accomplish it while retaining my sanity.
Need 1 last kill joy. Was able to get a win and 2 kill joys in an hour last night. Just played bad or afk to boost enemies in my kill joy games, sorry teammates. When I did get a killing spree - I just would stop in whatever my next fight was and -Yoink!- letting people kill me But it’s social too, so winning doesn’t matter at all anyway. Participation trophies for all.
I had already completed the Weeklies before the Weekend even got here
Was actually winning too hard on a lot of my matches and had to tone it down in order to get my Killjoys. Got the first two rather quickly, but the third one I had to play more half-heartedly and had to count enemy kills before seeing a guy get a Spree and immediately hunted him down and put a spike in his brain with the Skewer to get the last one.
Honestly, can’t say I’ve been really aggravated by any of these events or their Challenges and frequently complete them pretty quickly and easily, even with my work/life cycle. The core gameplay of Infinite makes it so completing these every week are a nice, fun distraction.
I completed everything, including the Capstone challenge within a few days. It was easy to complete challenges when the event began. When I reached the Capstone challenge I noticed that matches had become more difficult than at the beginning of the event. For a while I was wondering if I might have to play a few more days just to complete the Capstone challenge. Then, conditions changed again, and I completed the Capstone over the course of two sessions.
I really don’t like Fiesta, so it speaks volumes when two of my proudest moments were in this game. One was getting approximately 16 kills with the Gravity Hammer, and another I had blown up a Ghost by accident with a Skewer, which is rapidly becoming my favourite sniping weapon.
I don’t like farming the challenges though, especially the Ultimate one: Stop Enemy Killing Sprees in Fiesta PvP. It is dire, but the strateg I’ve found is to just go for the melee user, they’ve probably racked up a few kills. It really encourages selfish play though, hoping other players get killed and the spree-player is softened up so you can get a back smack.
I’ve got one Killjoy. Need two more and I can wave goodbye to this week’s challenges. At least I can properly make a start on my Yoroi set come the next Tenrai event (Feb 22nd - March 2nd I believe.)
Oh god know lol. 140 games over the 3 weeks the event has been active. It still seems like quite a few games though.
I’m not sure what my most spawned with weapon would be, but I do seem to get the Skewer quite a bit. I also seem to get shafted a lot by spawning in with two weapons of the same class, whether it be two pistols or two snipers.
I personally like the current event. Fiesta is one of my favorite modes, especially on behemoth with vehicles.
The ultimate challenge (as well as one more challenge I got during the even which was also to get 2 killjoys iirc) was quite easy - I got it just by playing like normal, trying to get rid of pesky enemy swordsmen, which is quickly becoming my hobby seeing as they often sneak up and kill me unexpectedly. So I go for revenge…
Shhh, don’t tell them, I like driving the tank.
But it’s true, judging from BTBs lately, barely anyone knows to snipe tank’s hatch and then to snipe the driver…
Nice.
Think I did something similar a while back with the skewer.
Will have to start doing it now that I re-remembered it. Thanks for reminding me of it.
Getting Killjoys is the worst! You basically have to get lucky or tank your game to kill them a boost only to need to get kucky enough to be the one to end their spree lol
