Halo 4 is now out, so one thing I wondered was: How’s Reachs population?
Has everyone migrated over the Halo 4? Are people still playing it?

Its Day 1 of the Halo 4 release, Reach getting a drought will be expected. Personally, yeah Im playing H4 for awhile but still plan to hit Reach for challenges etc. I still want to chip away towards Inheritor.
Halo Reach will soon be dead and filled with poor people. Tis a shame, it is such a great game.
Just got Halo 4 yesterday. After my brother was done marveling at Halo 4, he went to go play Reach and it was still very highly populated. I knew Reach would not die. 3 is probably still pretty populated too.
Reach had 9 thousand people on Ts. at like 2 Am in the morning.
Its probably bugged out.
Yesterday Reach had its average daily population (roughly 70,000). But it will most likely dwindle as more people get Halo 4.
Halo 3’s is still in the 5000’s at best :(.
About population on Halo Reach. I see it like a shame, cause i dont see any try to help Reach keeping well. Now I cant watch population in Reach lobby. I understand what 343 work hard on Halo 4, but it’s not mean to lose Reach beauty.
I just had a few games there, and the population 78K +, so it doesn’t seem to be effected to much.
$50 says the population will drop to the hundreds.
I’ve still been playing some, but I couldn’t tell you what the population is now. The online numbers have not updated at all (for me, at least) since sometime last weekend. Has anyone else noticed this?
I can tell you that the largest playlists (I’ve tried TS and BTB) still seem playable, at least during EST evening hours. Quality has definitely declined–searching takes a bit longer, there are more matches with lag and host migration issues, and there’s a lot more quitting going on (some of which is due to lag, I’m sure). But I’ve still gotten enough decent games to make it worth the time.
Hmm. I expected the impact to be way worse. Still playable, but a noticable drop in players.
I hav’nt touched Reach yet. I will miss starting matchs evenly, though.
Sometimes in Halo 4 you start a match with 3v4 or something. That quite unfair, but good old Reach got it right :). Halo 4 is still an astonishing game, though.
It is fine. I am going to play Halo Reach till Halo 5 comes out since Halo 4 was a complete letdown for me.
Population seems okay, in about the 8-9k range. Most playlists have enough people to find games for me, at least. No one touches Arena though, from what I see.

Yeah, I have. I made a post about it, but in all the Halo 4 excitement, it was never answered.

About 63k when i checked last Saturday at 18.00 GMT +1.

the online community yes, but the devs are ready to let Reach die out.
