How's KDA calculated for Warzone Firefight?

I sometimes look at the carnage report after WZFF matches, and I don’t understand how the KDA is computed. I assume it’s meant to be kills vs death ratio? There were a couple of matches when i had one of the highest kills, with least amount of deaths and I still had significantly lower KDA than others team mates.

KDA in the postgame only counts spartan kills (which will always be 0 in firefight) so it’s just (Assists/3) - Deaths

In FF if you want a big kda, you need to do a lot of assists. For example if I killed 200 and did 10 assist but the other dude did 30 kills and 50 assists… Guess who will have more KDA. XD
Wz kda can be very tricked, take this example: My friend just played wz assault had 2.3, but when he started to play regular wz, his kda went to 3.3 (bosses, ia kills). But if you do a lot of wz ff, you kda can go higher than 20 but it doesn’t mean you can kill 20 in a regular match, it just means that you do well in assist your team with IA kills.
