My friend is not very active on halo, his helmet shows up as Mark VI. Anyone know how or did he just get really lucky. He is getting his basement redone so I cant check on his Xbox. Anyone know A way I can check or a explanation for this? Or did he get really lucky?
It’s probably for completing the campaign on Legendary, or from some pre-order bonuses.
I had the same thing when I fired up the game for the first time in October; Mark VI, Mark VI Scarred, Nightfall Armor and Helmet (for watching all of the episodes of Nightfall on Waypoint), but I also had the Limited Collector’s edition ordered.
A lot of things factor into what people have unlocked, not all of it comes from REQ point grinding in multiplayer.

No, those give out visors. If he played MCC, certain achievements give mark VI armor.
Well he probably played the Master Chief Collection. The Mark 6 helmet Scarred and Gen1 are unlocked by completing cairo station on normal and scarred is finish any level of the MCC on any difficulty.
