Ok… the Halo story and universe is fantastic.
But…
With any story and especially when we’re talking about universes, we end up with loose ends.
These are things that don’t make sense, weren’t explained as in depth or as clearly as one would like, or even something could be expanded more upon… anything of those sorts.
Some examples could be:
-Janus Key
-The whole hunting Chief advertising
-The Didact whereabouts
So I know there’s plenty more but my question to you is…
What is a loose end in the story, lore, canon that you know of and what is your creative explanation/solution to that particular loose end/s??
I’m very interested in the communities thoughts on this so hopefully we can hear your take. Thanks.

Nope… he was contained…
The Janus Key was consficated from Halsey at the end of Escalation if i recall correctly.
Hunt the truth was pr nonsense.
And finally the Didact came back at the begining of escalation and was defeated by the current iteration of blue team. Who knows he’s current status apart from 343’s creative team.
Janus Key- Cortana claims it and uses the forerunner technology in her crusade of ‘reclamation’.
Hunt the Truth- nothing can really be done about it considering Halo 5’s story cannot be retconned.
The Didact- he was composed in the comics, so perhaps his essence is masquerading as Cortana, this also ties up the fact that Cortana should be dead.

Yes, so he is still alive, but he’s basically iced from the story.
