Ok let’s say at the very ending of the game the Chief finds out what the Ancient Evil is. He realizes humanity doesn’t stand a chance. Then suddenly cyborg Johnson walks into the room saying it’s time to kick some alien -Yoink-. Then the credits roll.

I would be angry. I seriously do have confidence fully and completely in 343i, but if Johnson’s alive, that will make me lose confidence in them. Its a question of canon, not a piece of armor, not a name of a game type. They were given what to work with, and aren’t allowed to change it to suit there needs selfishly . One of the few ways 343 can mess up in my book.

right, the johnson who got a hole blown through him, had the ark and halo ring destroyed around him (the explosion that almost killed MC who was already miles and miles away) and is now probably (assuming hes STILL alive at this point) floating through empty space with absolutely no air?
