When halo does end - that will be a sad day - how would you guys like for it to end? id love to see locke and the arbiter go for the index, and chief makes his way to the control room. arby and locke get the index to chief and chief activates the halo array to destroy a VERY big threat

me too but none of us have a time machine. i would like halo to die with some dignity and respect left, i wish it would die with an identity instead of being a generic modern fps which 343i wants halo to go

im talking about the campaign, and apparently you didnt see H3 legendary, chief was in his cryotube and the FuD headed to a planet and the planet started to get strings of blue light thru it

Maybe if possible because she fell through the opposite end of the composer, human Cortana places chief in cryo in a shield world waiting for someone to awaken him one day after she activates the rings and neutralizing the flood

No no no no no no. That’s a slap in the face to fans. They will probably find some ancient weapon to defeat the Flood, without starving them to death. If they don’t this whole story would’ve been a waste of time because history would’ve just repeated itself. But knowing 343, that sounds like money for a long, long time, so maybe this will happen after all :^)

I think it’s be a cool way for it to end because the humans are like the forerunners in a way. In appearance and soon to be technology wise as the result of the Janus key. If there is an ancient weapon as you say why didn’t the forerunners use it?

I wish we could go back in history, and erase Halo 3 itself, so that a more logical story can be rewritten in its place.
Anyway, i don’t want it to end with firing another Halo again, thats a boring excuse for a plot, and just repeats what we have already done in the Original Trilogy. I wouldn’t mind seeing Chief go out with a bang. Have a respectable send-out and end the threat of the Flood/Covenant, once and for all.

Most of Halo 3 would’ve just been a part of Halo 2 had they not been rushed for time. Campaign was okay but nothing great.
I would just end the franchise the same way Halo 3 “ended” it; Chief’s floating in space, drifting toward his next adventure, up to the fan’s imagination.

Not even close. Large portions of Halo 2 were cut, due to time constraints, but rather than just continue where they left off, they completely altered some of the original concepts in Halo 3. Rather than have a level on the Keyship, as they should have, they just cut right to the part where Chief crashes onto the surface of the Earth. The Forerunner Tank mission was entirely cut, and any missions involving the Arbiter, for Halo 3, were also cut “due to fan backlash”. Halo 3 pissed away a lot of potential for the Campaign, and some parts of the story were just plain illogical. Contrary to Halo 2, where everything seemed to flow perfectly.

I hate the way they handled Cortana in 3. They just demoted her to nothing but a damsel in distress. At least she was important in 4.
I would have ended it with the Chief killing guilty spark getting in a wharthog with Arby, and driving across an exploding halo ring while EPIC music plays! and your driving and the ring is exploding! and the ground is falling out beneath you! and at the last minute you make an awesome jump into the back of the Forward unto dawn! and cortanas all like “hold on!” and the engines kick in! and your flying away from the ring and it explodes in an awesome scene of epicness! and you tell cortana that you’ll always make it, but you don’t, and then the arbiter makes it back to earth and the flood is destroyed and there’s peace between humans and covenant, and the camera zooms in on the war memorial and it says 117, and some touching music plays, and your all like “what?!” and chief is floating in space just waiting for his next journey. And that would have been the best ending ever!. and then we could do some spin off games like Reach, or mabey another ODST style game where you play as an Elite ranger on sanghelios.
Well, Microsoft registered the web domains for Halo 7, 8, 9, shortly after the announcement of Halo 4. Depending on the Reclaimer trilogy, we may have Halo around for a lot longer.
Halo is FAR from over.
