how would you feel if halo 6 ended with master chief committing suicide because he became so depressed with his unfulfilling life as a emotionless ‘robot’ soldier.
no family, no real life goals, only friend was an AI.
how would that make you guys feel? if that was the dramatic conclusion of the best video game character ever.
Sounds corny. I somewhat have the feeling that he will sacrifice himself to save humanity or something like that. Kinda like ME3 ended. But I doubt that will happen.

just speculating, i don’t think he will but i think he will have issues with it in later games. the last cutscenes in halo 4 really showed that, he couldn’t just ignore that could he?

Compared to the campaign and SpOps, that sounds like above-average 343 writing to me.
If he should commit suicide, it should be while attempting something heroic and nearly escaping, but ends up slipping away into death. Then we get his final moment of thoughts before he passes…
> -_- SMH, H4 Matchmaking may not be the greatest thing ever, but I don’t see anything wrong with the story.
the campaign sucked compared to halo ce - 3 , it relied heavily upon reading the books. Gave no explanation of the storm covenant or no real introduction to the didact.
i hope when halo 5 comes around that there will be more incentive to attract buyers with pretty graphics and more hardware usage (xbox720)than there is incentive to attract buyers by ripping apart the game for casual players.
i’d much prefer they’d put their faith in the former and hopefully return halo to it’s former glory.

So did Halo CE, and the instruction booklet didn’t tell anything other than: You are the last super-soldier. Religious aliens attack your planet, you escape and end up on a ring planet.

No Halo CE didn’t rely on the fall of reach. You found out in the first 5 minutes you were escaping and had some discovered a ring . You also found out why the covenant were on it too. The didact reawakes with no explanation to who he is or anything. It was pretty obvious to work out in CE the covenant were fighting Humans. In Halo 4 also the Didact allys with the covenant and we get no explanation why .
