So 343 manages to make up another BS story like Cortana’s in H5: Captain Keys somehow managed to turn into a flood form and escape the Halo ring in HaloCE.
Now Captain keys is the main villain, how do you feel?
Unlikely is a very weak term here. He got his face smashed in after being fully consumed by the flood. Not to mention the TaR crashed before the Halo detonated. He’s dead. If they bring him back, it would be a totally wasteful retcon

i think he acually become part of the gravemind but not 100% sure so dont quote me on it but if im right he died twice once on truth and reconciliation and another on the halo ring chief blew up that the gravemind was rebuilding itself on…

he was absorbed by the proto-gravemind on installation 04, when it died, he died too. the Flood were still in a fairly feral state so they had no real connection with the full gravemind on 05.

Keyes was assimilated into the Proto-Gravemind, so he died on Installation 04. He also died once.
If Keyes is brought back, I’m not sure if I would want to rant or laugh at how stupid such a decision would be.
Yea I’m pretty sure an angry mob would assemble outside 343 studios
they could always bring him back in a dlc as a zombie and give u missions to bring him hundreds of brains!

Pretty sure I ran my fist through his flood absorbed skull to take a McGuffin.

It would probably be pretty hard for him to smoke his pipe with a giant hole in his face.
I would feel disgusted with how bad that would be story wise and development wise. I doubt 343 would ever do something idiotic lol. I would hope they care about the lore and it’s fans a bit more.
That’s impossible because of reasons already mentionned . But assuming that it would happen anyway , I would be very dissapointed by 343.

Actually , Cortana makes more sense .
Absurdity aside for a moment, I think most would just kind of feel disconnected from the whole idea of him as a character again. Not counting his Reach cameo, he hasn’t really been a part of the franchise in about 15 years… I don’t want any more resurrections in this EU. Cortana was enough.

If it was in a flashback, fine…but ONLY a flashback. Otherwise it would be super laughable and lame!
Theoretically, the Gravemind could produce an illusion of Keyes if it needed to mind -Yoink- Chief.
