Tl;dr: What’s your opinion on Daily Challenges making a return in Halo 5?
Hey all, I was just curious about the general consensus of the Halo community on the topic of daily challenges as they appeared in Reach and Halo 4.
Do you think it would be a good mechanic to bring back? What do you think should be the rewards and challenges? Do you think the development is worth the resources or is it not significant enough for them to be spending resources on it compared to other things?
Personally I’d love if they came back and introduced another way to make some REQ points. In Halo 4 I loved seeing that I could gain so much XP by meeting challenges, and it kept the game fresh every time I got on.
I think 343i is doing an outstanding job with the updates, and I think it’d be sick if they managed put this mechanic in the Memories of Reach update.
How do y’all feel about the idea of Daily Challenges?

That sounds like a reasonable scale! I think especially when the Firefight update drops, it’ll be a great combination. Some challenges could be to kill so many crawlers/grunts/etc. Like they did with the Spartan Ops challenges
I loved having these in Reach. Most of the time during the week I only have an hour or so to play on any given evening, so these would be a nice way to get some extra XP and RP (or even special req packs for harder challenges) without grinding too much. I also liked how they made me play the campaign more often. If they added these I’d like to see them keep the daily win packs too.
I think with the addition of firefight and maybe adding scoring back to campaign doing daily firefight and warzone challenges would be awesome. Maybe even a weekly LASO.
As long as the challenges are REWARDING.
I think they should reward both 3K RP and 3K XP for the completion of dailies and the weeklies should be around 7K or 5K

Yes of course there is I have been on a HARD grid ever since the game came out trying my best to get that oh so beautiful Nornfang but after six months I still don’t have it I mean do they think we all have $300 to spend on packs cause I sure don’t I mean good grief there are more than a thousand reqs in the game it’s not fair to all those people who can’t drop money on the game

Yeah you have to play for a long time just to get to that point I’ve played halo 5 for over 500 hours and I finally have about 90% of weapon certs.
I was surprised they weren’t in the game at launch. I would definitely like to see Daily, Weekly, and Monthly challenges. Also if campaign co-op had a scoring system that would have been a lot of fun like in Gears of war 3. Sometimes it’s the smallest of things that keep people coming back and playing a game years after it was released.
Im extremely surprised that they weren’t in the game because they should definitely be part of the game. Helps give people a reason for people to have a goal that is short term they could work for. Halo5 fell short in that department all there is a grind for reqs.
Currently I only play one game of Arena and two games of Warzone just to get the win packs.
I would like the incentive to play more that challenges would add.
