how would u rate halo 3 from 1 to 10

title says all and what do u like & dislike thank u

meh… it’s been a while. 7, Halo 3 is overrated.

The graphics were terrible and so was the netcode.

9.5 because of:
-great story
-great multiplayer (whenever you lossed a fight, you knew what mistake you did and how you could have won, you werent left wondering what had happened)
-great maps (I have about 5-10 favorite maps in Halo 3 that i enjoy playing on no matter what)
-forge
-4 player theater
-glitching
-getting out of maps
-great memories

An honest 4

It’s netcode sucked and bullets would literally disappear when fired, making a lot of br battles connection dependent.

10 is the highest i’ll take that as an 8

> Is 1 good or bad?
>
> And the highest onw no matter which one because of:
> -great story
> -great multiplayer (whenever you lossed a fight, you knew what mistake you did and how you could have won, you werent left wondering what had happened)
> -great maps (I have about 5-10 favorite maps in Halo 3 that i enjoy playing on no matter what)
> -forge

> -glitching
> -getting out of maps
> -great memories

8, it deleted my data and I did not like the HUD. Other than that great maps and everything else was impressive.

7… Only because of netcode, If it had far better netcode, I would of left Reach a long time ago…

Also if it was hitscan it would of been epic lol.

9/10

It was a great midpoint in the series between CE and Halo 2.

Campaign: CE, H3, H2
Multiplayer: H2, H3, CE

Pros:

  • Amazing campaign gameplay. The best large-scale vehicle battles in the entire series come from Halo 3, and that was exactly what it needed in order to succeed. It needed to go out with a bang.
  • The most powerful and emotional story in the franchise. (Too bad it took until the end to get good.)
  • It laid the foundation for great features for Halo’s future (Forge, Theatre)
  • Introduced some of the most addictive Halo gametypes (Infection, Grifball) even if they were H2 customs
  • The best expansion game ever (ODST)
  • A perfect ending to the trilogy

Cons:

  • It lacked great multiplayer that made Halo 2 shine. It only had a handful of good maps.
  • It’s story didn’t get any good until the end. I guess that’s a good thing though b/c it picks up as u go along.
  • Like all Halo games it has one terrible Flood-only mission (Cortana)

9 I guess.

I mean, Halo 3 was pretty rad. One of the best campaigns in the series, amazing soundtrack, and the multiplayer was good. (even though I like Reach’s a lot better) There’s nothing really wrong with it besides the netcode, which can be sketchy.

Halo 3: 7
Halo 2: 10

I liked H2’s maps better.

I miss the death count on the death intermission in end game. I hate having to go into the menu to see my and other people’s stats.

I thought the campaign was lacking. Thought h1/h2 campaign was incredible.

H3 was great because it was Halo but I thought it was basically just H2 re-hashed with slight tweaks and new (less fun) maps. They should have brought back lockout and ivory tower like they were originally - not butchered versions to make them feel new.

Halo 3, I’d give it an 8.5.

It was a solid game with some good maps and an enjoyable story. It introduced Theater mode (and a better one than Reach’s) and Forge, and started the Armor Customization with different permutations. If the netcode was better, I’d have gladly given it a 9 and gone back to it. But alas…

Oh, and the vehicles were better. Reach’s vehicles piss me off. It’s like they’re made out of glass and paper!

7
because everything you said except great multiplayer.

Halo 3s BR spread made me nerd rage to levels unknown
Br spread made that game unplayable in the slightest lag. and while I dislike smg starts and bloom, they kick the crap out of br spread.

7/10

Probably my least favorite (not counting Halo Wars), Halo 3 was great at the time, but the graphics (which were once considered godly) often distracted from the flaws. Pros and Cons time!

Pros: multiplayer was extremely addicting.
It was the first Halo game with Forge and Theater.
The Campaign had some big battles.
The Scarab fights were just plain awesome.

Cons: the Campaign was the start of Halo’s new tradition of shorter Campaigns. The Halo 3 Campaign was really short.
The human faces in the game were awful.
The game’s plot was extremely lacking compared to Halo 2’s plot.
There are too many weapons, many of which are a bit useless.
Some of the animations had much to be desired.
Matchmaking suffered commonly from lag.

Personally, I think Halo 3 is overrated by many fans. Halo: Reach is in my opinion, an improvement over many of Halo 3’s flaws, yet people seem to think that Halo 3 was perfect and glorious.

However, I still think it’s a great game, but compared to the other Halo games, it’s not as good.

I give it a 9. It introduced a lot of influential changes to gaming in general.

The combat was very competitive and balanced.
All around, halo 3 had the most to offer out of all the halos. Even more than Reach in my opinion.

6 mostly due to terrible “netcode” as Bungie likes to call it

5/10

  • The Campaign was meh. Fun the first time just to follow the Halo story.
  • The Multiplayer is full of cheaters. The community destroyed the multiplayer experience, but the lag contributed to it a lot. Bullets wouldn’t register, blah blah blah. A lot of not so great maps too.
  • Forge was all right, you had to know your stuff if you wanted to create something that would work.
  • Theater was pretty good actually, but it took so long to load clips instead of long films. It could take 10 seconds to start a 15 minute film and 7 minutes to start a six second film.

Before everyone only used the BR and acted like mega jerks all the time = 9

After everyone BR spammed and did NOTHING but trash talk = 3

The campaign was epic BUT it was dissapointingly easy and certain big moments (after miranda died and chief got left behinde w/ Arbiter) were let downs from what they could have been. They took out the amazing boss fights Halo 2 had as well.

Theater and Forge mode were amazing that they were there and I enjoyed using them both, but they were really unrefined. (Theater mode needs a sweet update in the next game for machinima)

I would vote 9.

It kept me playing for 3 years and I could easyily play right now however the connection issues were really annoying.

10 because every Halo game is perfect.
