How would needle warthog work?

I read the canon fodder and it doesnt say how the Needle Warthog works. Do you think its gonna fire homing needles just at a faster rate and distance or a straight rifle type at a machine gun rate? Will a damage boost on the gunner shorter explosion detonation? Will it kill faster than an ONI warthog? It just doesnt seem the work in my head.

Yes, the shield is very interesting to me. Will it simply protect the hog and not the riders, or will it do both? It would make more sense for just the hog, but only time will tell.

They could’ve thrown some Forerunner hardlight technology in there. I’d be surprised if the UNSC wasn’t researching that.

Or, you know, it’s just a damn shield and something from supercarriers to Spartans use and a Warthog having one isn’t far fetched at all. A shield is an extra layer of protection thrown onto something, it would simple create a “wall” encasing the shape of the warthog, protecting the doors and other vulnerable locations.

Mantis have shields… Mjolnir has shields… Fighters have shields… Covenant vehicles like ghosts, locusts and wraiths have shields (in some cases). Huragok can shield people.

This could go either way. If it fires blood of suban needles at an unlimited speed (no overheat) I could see going absolutely nuts with it, but if it has paper shields than it would defeat the purpose. This thing is going to be boom or bust. I’m curious to see which.

I hope that it’s strong with the suban needles though. I’ll toss on an overshield and wreak havoc! lol
