how would firefight work in halo 4 if the enemy isn't the covenant?

I’ve been wondering for a while how would firefight work in halo 4 if the enemy isn’t the covenant.
(not saying the enemy wont be the covenant)

It’s already been said that our enemy is NOT the Covenant. Covenant are done, we killed the Prophets and stole the Elites, leaving the Stupid Brutes to lead which would end badly, the Jackals were mercenaries and the Grunts were cowards. It’s also been foreshadowed that we’ll fight the Precursors, so there’s your answer. We will most likely be fighting Precursors.

We will be fighting something else in Firefight, same as in Campaign. I’m thinking Flood, Sentinels, and something new.

Does anyone except to see Invasion in H4? It seems like it’s just a spartan vs elite thing and that it would only work with Reach’s mechanics.

you’re kidding right?

invasion needs some improvement

covvie weapons were forgotten in Reach (they fail miserably)

and did you ever see the tank spawn in Boneyard? you can’t even drive the thing out without having the elites camping there with a wraith

I hate Invasion. I’m hoping they don’t have it in Halo 4, mainly because they need to make giant asym maps for it that don’t play well in any other gametype which lowers the map pool for 5v5 and lower team sizes.

I would like to think so, but to be honest, I’m not sure. I think ti really depends on what the new enemy is going to be. They could always just do Spartan vs Spartan as well.

True, I hope they design the BTB maps to work well with Invasion so we don’t need separate maps for both gametypes.
