How will you layout your Scuffs for Halo 4?

This is going to be my first Scuf purchase and I want to get the layout right!

What ??

Good sir… what, pray tell, might a “scuff” be?

Could you please explain what you’re talking about?

Edit: I see on Google that Scuf is a controller, so maybe he’s talking about the layout for that specific controller? If so, I can not help you…

> Good sir… what, pray tell, might a “scuff” be?

Shhhhhhhhh its a secret …

yeah kinda figured he was talking about controller layout…it wasnt exactly rocket science but i think ill be sticking with recon considering ive just been so accustomed to it.

If I was getting a scuf I’d use Bumper Jumper and set “X” to the left combat button and “A” to the right, or vice versa. That way you have sprint and AA under you fingers at all times.

If you are talking about controller setup

Bumper Jumper All Day

He’s talking about a scuf controller with two extra programmable bumpers.

If OP is talking about this, then it is unnecessary junk to me. I have something which I believe is superior in most aspects.

Default looks suitable to me, although I can use any layout in Halo 4 with no problems.

SCUF FPS Competition
SKU 00020
Weight 1.00lbs
Type: Wired
Domed AIM Stick: Yes
Left Paddle Configuration: X
Right Paddle Configuration: A
Trigger Stops: No
Black Out Buttons: No
SCUF Grip (Rear Shell): No
Remove Rumble Packs: No
Domed Left Thumb Stick: No
Paddle Colors: Black

Now stop talking about it, we don’t want other people to know about it

Scuff controllers are just cheating. I mean honestly, it’s providing a slight advantage, which is technically cheating. I use standard controllers with Bumper Jumper. Only way to fly as far as I’m concerned.

Why not use this instead?

http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-controllers/razer-onza-tournament-edition/

it’s way cheaper and has a better setup… it’s worth it for the thumbstick tension adjustment alone.

it all just depends on what degree of controller modification you consider to be cheating…

rapid fire buttons, auto aim, and anything else that changes the way the game behaves… cheating.

a controller that just gives you mechanical advantage that is still possible within confines of the the game ( you just might need an extra finger or two)… is it cheating?

Gaming Eyewear?

Wut?

Bumper Jumper: Right button “A” (sprint) and left button “B” ('nade)

Will be the setup I go with. I’d love for them to release another blue controller though!

Man, there’s already one person whose using a scuff. Come on man PLAY the game with a normal controller and gain some ACTUAL skill please. Make the game fair to other people using normal controller, is what i am saying. :D?

With the AA’s working the way they do in H4, BJ FTW.
I use the Onza Razer at the moment, will see how durable it is for none-toss-around-the-room use.
B goes to PRB and X goes to PLB for Reach. I think it’s A to go LBP for H4.

PS: Welcome to Waypoint

I would use the default Halo 4 layout, but use the right paddle as “A” and theleft paddle as “LB”.
Unfortunately I dont have a Scuf controller.

What about those who use Turtle Beachs and other awesome sauce headsets so that they can hear footsteaps easier? Not a lot of people will have them, so its the same thing, really.

lolscuff. Would have been a good controller if you could program them at any time, not once at the time of purchase.
