So, we’ve all seen the Halo Infinite trailer by now. The biggest moment was seeing Chief wearing his classic armor from Halo 2 and Halo 3! I’m sure most of us jumped in joy seeing his classic look again. However, the last we see Chief, he was wearing his new armor at the end of Halo 5. How do you think they’ll explain how and why Chief is wearing his classic armor, or do you think it’ll simply be him wearing his classic armor?
If it’s just an art style thing, it won’t be explained. But if it’s in the lore then mc could have just broke his armor even more and suit up in the “relics” of spartan armor out of convenience.
UNSC is desperate for parts, so they scavenge what they can, especially old suits of MJOLNIR. Show us the transition from Chief’s MK.VI MOD to the old MK.VI and you’ve got a solid explanation.
the armor never changed. The armor in halo 2 3 4 5 and infinite are all the same mark VI The only change was the artistic representation. Any attempts to lose retcon that were lazy so its really pointless to try and explain it if it does more damage to the story then good
Cortana hacked John’s nanomachines again. This time, though, she was petty, and decided to regress his suit. She would have regressed it back through Mk V, Mk IV, all the way to Mk I, and ultimately would have ended up encasing John in titanium ore – but Roland and Exuberant Witness jumped in and installed a counter-virus. Now the nanomachines are in a constant internal war for dominion over the slight details of John’s suit. Any attempts to evolve or augment it cause outrage in the nanomachines. It is locked in an evergreen, crowd-pleasing format.
I mean, you guys all said the obvious, reasonable stuff. I’ll just go with my gut. I’ll miss the newer look.
How will they explain the new change? Ehh well idk, it could be multiple different options. Knowing 343 from past experience, I’m certain they’ll come up with some sort of reasoning whether people widely accept it or not but I don’t think they’ll really care because it will pay more homage to his ‘classic’ looks. lol
They don’t really have to. It’s an art style change (technically the same armor). Let’s not complain that it’s back.
