I want to this out; How will the new enemy be introduced and how long after the game starts. When will the action begin?
In Halo 1 the covenant were already known about because of Reach.
However in Halo 4 we haven’t even heard about them, nor Has anyone in the UNSC. Master chief will have to discover them and unlike the flood which was discovered halfway through the halo 1 campaign the new enemy must be introduced in the beginning.
So I think we will be facing a very long cutscene :D:D:D:D
How do you think the new enemy will be introduced???
We hopefully won’t be fighting the covenant or the flood the first few levels.
Here’s what I hope: You ever play Shadow of the Colossus? Where it starts with a young guy riding into a forbidden land, alone apart from his horse and a dead girl, and an entity basically guides him on what to do to bring her back?
I’m hoping for a similar feel to Halo 4. Chief, on his own (save for an increasingly unreliable Cortana), in a strange land, having to make sense of his surroundings on the fly, unaware of the gravity of his (or humanity’s) situation outside of observable range, but driven to continue exploring and fighting to get home.

I don’t it to be straight away (i.e "Halo 4, BAM! heres the new enemy get to work) i’d rather fight sentinals for aleast a mission or 2 before the actual enemy appears
They’ll knock on the Master Chief’s door with a gift basket and say “Hi, welcome to the neighborhood.”
In all seriousness, I think we’ll encounter them pretty quickly. Maybe a little like a combination of Halo 1 and Reach’s beginning. In Halo 1 you saw fights without participating for a while. I don’t think we’ll fight them, but see signs of them, hear things, have them show up on the motion tracker. To be honest I think the first contact will be as gameplay, not a cutscene.
CE - Covie: sudden appearance, Flood: creepy atmosphere
H2 - Covie: expecting it, Flood: indicated by the Flood creatures in the tank
H3 - Covie: Flood style (indicated by Brute noises and not seeing a Covie during a long trek), Flood: cliche horror movie
Reach - Covie: moderate Flood style (dead troops, mysterious activity but in a nice looking location)
H4 - Ancient enemy: Either going to continue the Flood style appearances or go back to CE-H2.

I’m finding your posts increasingly entertaining to read.
