Hello, I have a question that I am very curious to hear from everyone. If the Flood appeared in the upcoming Halo Infinite, how will they return in the new Halo video game? Is it possible that we will see the Flood appearing later in one of the Halo Infinite campaign levels especially if they appeared in level eleven or level twelve? Would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks and keep up the great work.
It’d be pretty easy to write in. Oh there were some spores contained in this forerunner lab now they are out; seems pretty easy to do. Though I feel like narrative wise the flood was pretty well wrapped up in three, I’d rather see a spin off earlier in the time line for a flood return.
Since the Flood was in Halo Wars 2 with the Banished, and the Banished seem to be coming to Infinite . The Flood have an easy way to come back if they follow the Banished into the game. This could either end with the Flood over growing again, or the Flood could destroy the Banished or a rare one ; The Banished will have learned how to control the flood. It would be a good twisted in my opinion!
If any flood appear at all and the game takes place on Zeta Halo, it will be in the palace of pain. I don’t know how they’d write it into the story though unless it’s done in a similar way to Halo CE, but I’m not sure the UNSC would fall for that again after our previous encounters with it.

Yeah maybe like the old ce missions where
Theres flood like the photographer I’m pretty sure that’s the name oh and 343 guilty spark aswell
I don’t think they’re coming back.
If they do, it may be a small outbreak that is contained and glassed.
Seeing as the game is on zeta halo it would make perfect sense for the flood to be in halo infinite I really hope they r it would be such a let down for them not to be in the game the ring has such a rich history of the flood and manicant bias the flood need to be in this game the palace of pain is the way it should be and since they game is gonna mirror halo ce the banished should accidentally release them like the covenant did in halo ce
Installation 07 has alot of disturbing flood (and their precursor counterpart) related history so it’s quite possible. I wouldn’t mind them returning considering their ability to generate a nostalgic and menacing aura. But aside from their “little” stunt on Installation 00 in Halo Wars 2, along with a few mentions here and there like in the Official Spartan Field Manual regarding the Spartan Branch containing them, 343 hasn’t really given them much attention in the reclaimer saga so it’s safe to assume they aren’t too invested in using them in the main storylines. However, word has it they hired a writer experienced in incorporating multiple factions into one storyline so who knows, maybe they’ll surprise us at some point.

I don’t think they could control the flood. But instead the flood could work with the banished somewhat how the flood teamed up with the elites and humanity in halo 3 to finish the covy. But this time they could team up with the banished to take on cortana and her created, swords of sanghelios and humanity.
The Flood making a return in Halo Infinite, would be CRAZY!!
The Flood returning to Halo Infinite would mean we’ll get to see the Flood Juggernaut for the first time in a game of the main trilogy sets of the games. I also expect to see the return of the Tank, Crawler, and Ranged forms to also return as well.

After reading more of the Halo books and learning more of the flood, I have to agree with you. The Flood would more likely team up with the Banished since it would benefit the Flood, at least till a Gravemind decides other wise.
I also think this may end up being a last ditch plan from the Banished if they start losing and if they can get back to the Ark.
even though it’s unlikely I’d like to see a new gravemind and flood outbreak on zeta halo
Maybe like Halo 3– a flood infected ship crashes on Zeta during an intense battle between the UNSC and the Banished.
I’m amused that literally everyone on this thread doesn’t know that the UNSC has been stationed on Zeta since 2555 and made it a top priority to clear out any stored Flood on the ring. Also applies to any other Forerunner location that could potentially hold them.
You can’t re-introduce the Flood again without it being completely forced in and made a central part of the narrative. Period. They’re such a threat that it would take away all the focus and build-up on every other conflict and faction the Halo Universe has been blending in right now.
I think its won’t be wrong to say that flood will be in the game . See, humanity is falling short to banished and loosing hard as they lost infinite and most of its crew. If the game is supposed to be further pain for humanity, why not a sudden outbreak of flood will help make story more twisty and more interesting. Although flood outbreak can either benefit only one faction at a time or neither of them

Sauce? Damn that some serious -Yoink- to miss
To be honest maybe the flood could sneak in bor like 2 or 3 levels they don’t have to be a big part of a plot they can be an inconveneance or a little thing. Like in Halo 2 the flood wasn’t so heavy it was in a couple levels. note i didn’t play halo 2 in a while so I don’t remember.
Halo infinite zombies halo weapons halo mods !!!
(NONAMES380) I wish that were real lol dlc of my idea would be cool but who would play?? Who would create…
