So. We already know that Chief will make some great escape away from the UNSC. But how will this actually happen? I can’t see the situation as Chief simply being on the Infinity and suddenly deciding to fly away to a forerunner structure. Something specific is going to put Chief in a situation to leave the UNSC.
One situation could possibly be that Chief will be sent on a mission with Blue Team that will land him on a Forerunner structure that he would use to “escape”. This would give us an opportunity to have gameplay as Chief fighting along side other Spartan 2s.
Perhaps another situation would be Chief getting separated unintentionally from his team. Maybe he’ll get captured by Jul and you’ll have to play a mission of him escaping.
Either way, I doubt that Chief will just get up and run off suddenly. Chief has always had a sense of duty.

Yeah, at first I thought you were going to say a dumb argument about how sprint was needed, but I see what you actually mean. A sneaky level to escape a Covenant ship because you don’t have armor/weapon would be fun. You have to go around assassinating Elites until you steal a Banshee and escape.

Lol, no. It was a dumb joke about how sprint was needed. But that’s a cool idea too. Something stealthy, kinda like some Arbiter missions in Halo 2.

There’s longswords with slipspace drives now too. Blue team + chief use it in escalation.
I want it to be really dark and jarring, something along the lines of he is going insane without cortana and does something to piss off the UNSC and they try to arrest him, so he goes on a murderous rampage taking out a ton of spartan 4’s and flees the infinity

I doubt it’ll be that gruesome. That would be a major turn around if chief suddenly went crazy. I picture it more along the lines of Chief getting a little irritated with his fellow soldiers and suddenly doing or saying something he regrets. Nothing as big as killing troops, but little things that will eventually build up to him deciding to “run away”.
