We already know that promethean weapons and objective kills make the bodies disintegrate, so what will happen to the bodies killed in another way? Will they disintegrate as well after about 30 seconds? Will they fade? I had several good ideas:
One: Since it is a simulation, they flicker as their 30 second timer comes to a close, and when it does, they disappear like a hologram in reach if left alone, where there is still a transparent outline for a couple of seconds, then it disappears.
Two: As their 30 second timer ends, random green numbers flash, replacing where their body is with random numbers, and when the entire body is covered in green numbers, they disappear, and the map around it flickers as if it were rebuilt in a simulation.
Three: They get teleported using a special animation indoors, and outdoors they get picked up by a ship using a tractor beam similar to a covenant dropship beam. The ship would be an indestructible pelican or some other UNSC vehicle that can hover.
You have any ideas?
In three, if there was a bloodbath, it would pick up all bodies within X metres (e:g; 150) regardless of how long ago they died.
They’ll disintegrate.
Saw a complete mission playthrough in spartan ops, one of the players killed a promethean with the DMR. It simply melted away.
BB is going to come and pick them up.
All of that sounds like it would cause a lot of lag to actually run. i would rather they just simply disappeared. AND within 10 seconds. especially if grifball is back. I get so sick of getting my hammer cancelled because it affects the dead body instead of actually hitting the person in front of me.
I think that rather than simply disappearing after a certain amount of time, they should disintegrate as if they’d been killed by a Promethean weapon!
Option one was the only viable option that wouldn’t tax the system too much.
Other: They never dissappear. Seeing the aftermath of a match would be pretty neat.
Promethean knights are part organic, so to avoid being infected by the flood, they auto disintigrate. /yourargument
When a spartan is killed by normal weapons and their bodies remain where they are: it would be awesome if their bodies disintegrated 30 seconds later like you said
You should also be able to pummel bodies so they move.

Well thats just spartan ops, and prometheans do all the time so they don’t get “infected” by the flood, I’m sure he is talking about war games only

I hate it when I throw a nade at a certain spot but it bounces odd because there was a body there.
Besides I like my frame rate at 30
