how will infected players look in infinite?

im wondering what they will be doing with infection in infinite but mostly I’m wondering how they will make the infected players look, I’m honestly hoping they go with the halo 2 anniversary look with the Spartans having a infection form in there head or chest with a red energy sword I really prefer that look more then the green glow sticks of halo 5. Thoughts?

Good question!

I’d much rather the traditional infection mode be the standard, and if they want to implement a gimmick version such as Flood where your character model is altered it should be a variant of infection and not the standard, Halo 4’s approach pretty much killed the custom game community and I’d rather not see that repeated.

That said, I’d love to see them go crazy, instead of just a Spartan infected model, you use infected models of brutes, elites and humans so it feels like you’re truly in the middle of a flood firefight, it’d be cool for machinima creation too.

Hoping for something like halo 4 flood but I would bet on H5 infection player models

Well I think if they did it halo 2 anniversary style it would work great in custom games since it not like 4 where the sword is there arm it’s just a red energy sword so it could easily be swapped out in custom games

I hope they’ll do it again like halo 2 anniversary did it, just a spartan but with a busted helmet with flood crap sticking out

I thought the route H4 took was brave and creative but too much and I prefer a more simple spartan esqe look that works better in custom games as well. I think H2A did a better job and would like to see an updated version of that

Thing is, the H4 model is the most detailed and grotesque one, and as such the one most suited for a mode like infection. But yes, the fact that the infected could only have that sword arm was a big bummer.

Solution is simple, though. Flood skin of the energy sword, like a sword arm, is nice, but make it optional. Seems like having the best of both worlds in my opinion.

Hopefully like a flood-infected Spartan. But if elites were too laborious to add in six+ years, probably just a specified color of your base Spartan model.

It would be nice to have options to switch between an infected look and the regular spartan look so custom games have more options which is something that H2A did which was a good move unlike H4 which was a set in stone infected look and a forced energy sword at all times

I found the H4 flood very weird, i would prefer real flood. I like the H2A flood and I hope they will doing something like that

The Halo 2 Anniversary iteration of the Infected was the best. If they’re going to include some kind of visual difference between survivors and infected players, having the flood helmet is unique and ultimately doesn’t change the game in a negative way like the flood playermodel did in Halo 4. I still can’t believe they locked the infected loadouts in Halo 4.

If they’re going to do a different sword, yeah, the Red one’s cooler, christmas-green was an odd choice for infection.

Here’s to hoping infection comes at launch, no repeats of 2015 please

It will probably be Green Spartans, but it would be cool if it were Flood-infected Spartans

I prefer the classic green Spartans.

I just hope we don’t have to H4 audio. The flood-Spartan screeching still makes me cringe.

I hope they do what they did in H2A where you can toggle the settings having one infected & the other regular form.

Yea I wasn’t really a big fan either

I really like the H2A infected as it actually looks like a flood inside a spartan. To my extent of Halo knowledge and lore the only enemy we fight that are parasites is the flood, so having the infected look like kinda halo 3 infected marines with flood parts sticking out but also retains its human parts is a good touch to why I love H2A infected ,it actually looks in a way a bit scary or gruesome. In Halo 5 they just made a green spartan as in other Halo games like Halo Reach, I think that 343 and Bungie could have gone with a better approach during the development of those games. I still hope that the team behind multiplayer in 343 make a good job in what the infected look like on multiplayer, something similar to H2A or even more gruesome as Spartans are seen as humanities last hope and seeing a spartan infected might inject that kinda fear and psychological damage to civilians in the Halo universe thinking that seeing a infected spartan might be the end of their home planet, as I heard from the Spartan field manual that an infected spartan is something that is really dangerous since its not a regular body and it all has Mjlonir armor.

It looked good but played trash.

Best if they stayed like halo 5 infection(my favourite) or Halo reach style.

i hope they go H2A route was amazing seeing spartans with flood bits coming out
