So 343i seems to be adding a lot of armour skins to the game and focusing a lot on that, but how will they be presented if you are on red/blue team? Will the base colour be red/blue and the small designs on the skins be whichever colour you want them to be? I guess I’m just worried that in the game you won’t even really be able to see them unless it’s in FFA or Infection where you can use whichever colours you want.
I’m sure the armor skins will be the secondary color you select for your armor or maybe you’ll be able to select a special color just for skins. Probably the first one though.
In the Beta, both teams had subtle secondary colors. If memory serves, Red Team had a barely-noticeable shade of pink as their secondary, and Blue Team had white as their secondary. I might be wrong on the exact shades.
Personally, I wish they’d make it even more subtle. I mean I get that Red vs Blue has always been the thing in Halo since day one, and the Halo Traditionalists are going to crucify me for feeling this way, but I’d rather the red and blue team thing was made even more subtle.
It just kinda kills the whole vibe behind building your own spartan and customizing the armor in the colors and patterns of your choosing when it just turns into Red and Blue during the team games.
Probably the same way they did in Halo 4.
I agree.
I’d like it to be a bit more like Destiny…

It looked like they changed secondary to black for warzone.

That would corrupt Red vs. Blue machinima series. Although, I do kinda hope that something is done, since all I can do to get a decent screenshot of me with my real colors is in Rumble games.
I would rather customize my spartan avatar and have team colors applied via an outline in the hud (which i can choose to turn off) when players are within a range.
When you have a skin, it’s automatically presented as a bold white and slight lighter tone of red, or blue on your armor, so it’s visible on either team respectively.

You can see the armor skins, but they’re not that noticeable, sadly.
I severely wish our secondary colors would actually show up in team games, like Halo 2’s did and Halo 3’s detail did. It added that personal touch in teams, and made that particular customization option actually feel important.
I wish you could set up a customization for each team color. Like, a digital blue/white camouflage pattern can look cool, but red/white digi camo just looks odd (subjectively, of course). And in H2, if you have bold secondary color, like green, it looks like Christmas when you’re on red team. It always made me stick to really neutral colors in halo. basically just steel every time haha.
