How will 343 justify crimson dlc playlist?

So I just read another post that currently there are 400 people playing the crimson dlc. Which actually made me pretty happy, maybe people are realizing the maps aren’t good.

So with the whole rotational playlist thing 343 is using, how will they justify keeping this playlist around?
It will be the lowest populated playlist and they will think of something to keep this playlist and have better playlist will get the ax.

They are definitely between a rock and a hard place here, remove the list infuriate map pack fanboys, don’t remove it and anger people who want better playlists…
This is gonna be fun

it is pretty contradictory saying they will be taking out unpopular playlists but leaving the crimson dlc in anyway

but 343 arent exactly new to messing things up, but with mlg and a competition on their homepage it looks promising for halo 4 but I really wish they would stop constantly letting us down

If I had to guess, Crimson DLC will remain in until next year, and team regicide will be rotated out this week.

Aww…I like team regicide.

So do I, but 343 will want to keep the dlc playlist in to keep the people who whined about not having one in Reach from resurfacing. I doubt very much they’d remove the dlc playlist after just one week, and the only other rotational playlist is Team Regicide.

They also might remove FFA Regicide in favor of FFA Slayer, but I doubt it.

Ugh, I wish they you just do permanent playlists. It would be so much more simple and everyone would be happy.

Good point OP. However, I’d bet they will keep it regardless. I don’t think they will ax their money making DLC playlist anytime soon.

Personally, if I was in charge of the playlists, this is how I would manage them:

Merge Oddball, KotH into Objective playlist with other game types like territories appearing every so often.

Merge CTF, Dominion into Big Team objective playlist. Add Extraction, too.

Add a damn true FFA playlist. Make FFA Slayer the first 2 options and FFA Regicide the 3rd.

Kill the standard Regicide playlist. It wastes space and no one likes it

Add Team Snipers.

Keep all other playlists the same.

Troll fail - there are currently 4 playlists with a lower population than the DLC playlist.

I hope the DLC playlist stays as a perma-playlist.

It’d make no sense to take it out when there are achievements only obtainable in that playlist, getting rid of it will only cause another uprawr.

I’m sure 343i will add more than just “11” playlists eventually.

hopefully. XD

I also hope they do not merge objective games into a single playlist, it’s nice being able to choose what objective game you wanna play now instead of having to wait a large number of games to play oddball or KoTH etc.

we are predicting the drop due to recent events, but nice try

also people who color their posts just come across as attention seeking children

They will justify it, or so in their eyes, by creating a promotion to “pay and play” the next dlc… lolz

A promotion that isn’t made up after the fact…

Actually, people who color their posts generally have them read more often than those that do not.

Actually it’s just now reflecting the number of ppl who bought them or the season pass, rather than those that got the free ‘trial’.

Today’s update removed Crimson maps from non-Season pass/MP/LE buyers…it’s normal that there are less people there, not counting that after the update, the population counter was reset, it’s still unprecise about the real population (look at the low population in all the playlists).

@own forward
I understand that they removed the maps for the people who didn’t purchase them. The point there is to show that no one or very few users will be buying the maps after playing them.

The playlists should look like this:

COMPETITIVE:
Classic Slayer (Sprint Only, no AA, no Ordinance, no Custom Loadout and 4-on-4)
Team Doubles (2-on-2 Slayer and some KotH)
Classic Objective (Same as above Classic but 5-on-5; CTF/KotH/Oddball)
Classic Lone Wolves (6-to-8 players, Classic Rules)

SOCIAL:
SWAT (Including SWATguns and SWAT Magnums)
Social Infinity Slayer (5/6-on-5/6 Slayer with all maps big and small available)
Big Team Battle(8-on-8, Slayer, Slayer Heavies, CTF, Dominion, and Extraction)
Team Snipers (Includes Classic Sniper games, Beam Rifles games, Binary Rifle Games, and Shottie/Snipers)
Grifball (4-on-4 Classic)
Team Racing (2-on-2-on-2-on-2, Rocket Race and Rocket Hog Race) – OBV they need to bring back Race as a Custom Game option too.
Destruction Derby (FFA, All Warthigs on an elevated surface where you can’t drive off or die. Warthogs cannot be destroyed with guns, just by being pushed of the edge. However Land-mines are all-around that send Warthogs flying possibly to their doom)
Team Power (4-on-4, All-Rockets, All-Swords, All-Shotguns, All-FRG)
Multi-Team (3-on-3-on-3-on-3 , Slayer, KotH, Oddball, Multiflag, new fun games on rotation)

Crimson DLC population is low due to the Infinity Slayer competition going on /thread
