How will 343 determine what we want?

Will 343 only be listening to a select few people from the community?

How do you think they should determine what we like or don’t?

I think they should make a poll for the community to vote on. They are making the game for us, aren’t they?

Tell me what you think!

They’ll have a super tough time sifting through the hate and irrationalism, but they will surely put more consideration towards those who are a part of the email feedback program, since these people made the conscious decision to give serious, rational feedback. They won’t listen to immature posts in this forum that don’t make sense, I can guarantee you that much.

From their vidoc it looks like they pluck pro players from the community and have them play their early builds and get their opinions on things. I imagine they’ll keep doing that, plus look at all the data they have from the beta.

I think polls would be great for selecting new forge maps and playlist from the community.

I doubt they’ll listen to everyone saying to get rid of sprint, but they may look into weapon balance and power weapon spawning.

How about they just stick to what made halo successful in the past instead of insisting on putting things that break the game and deviate from what halo is about.

listen to the community?? they will not at all… the email feedback program is for bugs, not what you iike/dislike about the game… they dont even glance at these forums after they dropped MCC and basically 90% of the community just posts 343i hatred. they are too far along in development to actually change any of the mechanics, so weapon balance, map balance, stuff like that, that can be easily changed, will be the only feedback from the “pro players” that will have any effect on the development… and as for your final question, they are making this game for us? no. they are a business owned by microsoft, the only reason they are making this game is for money. they do not care if you like it or hate it, as long as they get paid…

Typical anti-consumerism sentiment. 343 industries are still PEOPLE like you and me who want to do good at their job which is making video games. They care about the product they put out there as it is a reflection of their own abilities as a designer. The email feedback program is FEEDBACK, it’s to get people’s opinions on the direction of Halo MP. Last I checked, these forums are way less than 1% of the total player base, and most people here now-a-days are irrational, immature, and nonconstructive with their feedback, so I wouldn’t blame 343 for ignoring them.

I am in the Halo Community Feedback Program and I encourage everyone to join. I got my first survey today and it is not just about bugs. I can’t disclose what was on the survey to prevent the data from being skewed, but it might help 343 get strong evidence of what the community wants. It probably won’t affect anything but the more people sign up the better the odds that something is done.

Sadly, it’s all about money. 343 hears us, just not the big wigs who give 343 the formula that they are forced to follow. 343 will try their best to add as much of the stuff that we want as long as it falls with in the code of the formula that has been given to them by the so called “industry experts” who spend more time looking at sales charts and statistics than they do at actually listening to what we as fans want.

Object number one: Sell as many copies as possible on launch day one. That’s it.

how do we get on the feedback program?

They really are to the gamers, and they’re watching the numbers gleaned from game statistics.
