How well do you think 343i will do on the XB1

In 2 Years

Halo 4 took two disk and had to take cuts. It is very clear that the next gen is better than the current gen and with I think that 343i can putout a very well made game in two years.

With the 360 343i with Halo 4 basically had to move alot of furniture into a small house now they have a bigger home to store all of their things and maybe add in few new paintings or a couch. Halo 4 had alot of potential and i fell like it should of been made for XB1.

Now i’m sure 343i was one of the first companies to get their hands on the XB1 and had a bit of testing to see what they could do and are hard at work presenting what i would like to believe will be (how anything should be made) far better than its predecessor.

Some say that 2 years isn’t enough, three years is better 4 tops but we as the fans don’t get much of a say in that and not the Devs either. For those who think that 2 years is not enough maybe the men and women at 343i know that HAlo 4 didn’t last as log as they might of expected and thought it would be like Halo 3 and rule for a few years.

Knowing that Halo 4 lacked in that maybe they want to try and get the next Halo out so the fans won’t be forced to go back to Halo Reach and 3 just to play their favorite franchise. That is just one way to think of it.

Sort of a bit of babble above but what do you think 343i will do with Halo 5. Do you think the Giant just took a few hits and is coming back or is it out for good.

Depends if the fans are even considering to come back after recent events. Personally, if they can balance quality and quantity appropriately, then there shouldn’t really be a problem.

If they include the right features and know how to differentiate between minority and majority, then yes i believe Halo can reclaim its throne. “The reclamation has begun…and we are hopeless to stop it…” :stuck_out_tongue:

Well I’m not going to pre order the game, but if I hear that it is good and it gets good reviews I will probably pick up a copy.

I hope that it ends up being good.

Considering that the Xbox One has many new features 343i can utilizes, such as…

Dedicated Servers,

The Cloud,

Publishing updates with much less red tape,

I think it could do supremely well.

I always considered Halo 4 the ‘Great Experiment’… as in, 343 threw many different ingredients into a jar, shook them around, and served up raw. The kitchen was closing, and they needed to get one more meal out the door. Why not make it one that will make the next offering the best it can be?

Sorry for the culinary analogy, but the point was to test different concepts on current gen hardware soon, because there was only one Holiday season left until XB1 makes the 360 obsolete. They purposefully broke the traditional recipe to see which had potential on the next gen. Some things worked, others clearly didn’t. And the fans kept them to task on each one. I think 343 listened and learned, and I truly believe they will shape Halo 5 into the best offering in the franchise yet.

On a less fanboyish, more realistic note, it’d be poor business sense not to give 343 the inside development track. I’ve read an XB exec speaking about Halo. Might have been an financial puff piece, can’t recall the exact source. But he said that it was decided long ago that Halo 5 would not launch with XB1. He said, in effect, that Halo no longer needed to carry the XBox franchise… but that now the XBox would carry Halo into the next generation. This forethought gives me A) confidence in the Xbox hardware, and B) confidence in 343’s ability to develop the very best offering yet possible when it does arrive.

I feel Halo 5 will do well if the Xbox One itself does well. Right now I have no interest in the console.

Then please, for -Yoinks!- sake, can we start getting more ports to the PC?

There is unlimited potential for how Halo can be modded and improved on the PC.

I will disagree here. Look at DICE and Battlefield 4. They had about 2 years (really is probably under 21 months) to make it and look how bad it is with the crashing, game breaking bugs and glitches that pop up. I disliked so much what 343 did with Halo 4 and i think them making Halo 5 in under 2 years, for a new console with a new engine i assume, could damage the series.

I wouldn’t mind waiting till 2015 to get Halo 5, but I’m sure they want to get it out now so they can have Halo 6 ready for 2017. Microsoft has no major IP, so i can see why they would want Halo to come out quickly to keep the interest going, since we don’t know what the future holds for Gears.
