I’ve seen a lot of people here assuming that we are going to be earning credits through simply moving through the battle pass. I can’t imagine a more unimaginative and boring way to do this in the halo franchise. So many cooler ways this can be done and would inspire much more player retention as well. Here’s a few ideas.
1- long term weapon commendations. Ex. Get 1000 kills with the AR. You could do this with every weapon, awarding 100 CR for each commendation along with a cool emblem for your effort
2- campaign. Beat the campaign on easy 10 CR, normal 20, heroic 50, legendary 100. Co op? Run through the gambit again.
3- different longer term in game MP challenges. Ex. Complete (or win) 1000 games of team slayer 100CR. Cool nameplate awarded. Get 100 headshots with the sniper 100CR and emblem awarded.
I could go on and on. But this should be enough to prove that there many more interesting and fun ways to earn credits by playing the game that don’t involve just leveling up one more time in the battle pass. What a snoozefest that would be.

Agree with all your points. Challenges are only annoying if timed. Modern Warfare (2019) had challenges like that for weapon skins and I loved doing them, since they were just kind of background things that I could progressively get without even thinking about.

Yup. Would love challenges or commendations outside of the weekly challenge with all separate unlocks
I think a fair system would be to not have anything earned from the BP. Instead, you get your score transferred to credits (2000=20 cr.) and 5 cr. for every match completed. If you got 2000 score straight for 300 battles (if you do, you are a God) that would be 7500. That is fair I think.
Lol that’s 343 just saying “to hell with the store and the money we make on it”. There would NEVER be a reason for people to spend money in the store with a system that generous.
How? The whales and campaign are where they make their money and the whales are still gonna spend just as much.
Not to mention, the store shouldn’t be rotating, everything from the season should be available at all times, special bundles can rotate but that’s it
