How was the Flight?

As asked. Thoughts? Reactions? Concerns? I only had time to hop in to an hour of weapon drills so I missed out on BTB. Felt good to me but not the same as fighting another human. So what is the general consensus?

I thought it was awesome. Gives me lots of confidence.

Loved it. The melee glitch is really dumb but I guess that got patched already. I did however find a 2nd way to do it so I’m not sure anymore.

Loved it, was fun. I rarely got to play. Only 10 matches :(, but I did match Frosty and Bound. Good times :smiley:

Really liked it, feels like a step in the right direction. Back to fun physics and interesting movement.
Lots to be fixed and worked on, but very promising.

My 2 issue is the Outline et ligth when scoped.

I think this is very unfair when you try to sneak, BTB has proven my point.

Heavily disliked the progression being tied to challenges, felt difficulty with expressing myself through my Spartan, AR is severely overpowered, AR starts in BTB are inherently flawed and bad, BTB 2.0 seems like a sandbox of ideas that don’t actually communicate in any meaningful manner, but the gameplay itself generally feels really cool, crisp and good.

Had a good run playing small format for a while, Strongholds, CTF Total Control got me hooked the most! But man BTB is chaotic in so many amazing ways. I will say, my personal gripes were how wonky the UI’s can be when launching at times. Anything from the binding keys for certain actions not going through and fireteam joining + inviting, which I understand this is a preview, although it’s personally funny to see that my friend is playing custom games and claims I am now the fireteam leader. A bigger one for others is the exploiting reload + melee glitch (obviously this will be taken care of). Also have had some technical audio issues where even if I have voice chat enabled and turned on, I still cannot hear anyone from the lobby or in-game. Was not a huge deal considering I always communicate via Teamspeak or Discord. But other than that, firefights feel pretty good from all distances if I say so. Of course I will be waiting for any variation of SWAT to be released down the line, even Team Snipers. I long to enjoy the sheer more competitive modes and the uniqueness revolved around the multiple gunfight opportunities you can have, especially on the maps. They are not too ridiculous in terms of camping and sniping spawns which is always a plus, personally anywhere I went, Recharge, Live Fire (B in Strongholds btw reeeeeee) and even Behemoth felt wonderful to get into brawls. I am not going to touch on the Battlepass and it’s progression either because it was inevitable to release one for Infinite, just like how we have progression in MCC. That is all I have anyways, I do look forward to the next iteration and down the line with more multiplayer modes!

Mostly good but definitely needs some work. Biggest issues are definitely the ttk, progression system, obnoxious Ai and Spartan chatter as well as the controls for some of the vehicles, mainly the Warthog, Banshee and Scorpion. Besides that, the overall gameplay, style and presentation of the game is pretty great and already better than H5.

Good to hear guys. Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the battlepass isn’t going anywhere, welcome to modern gaming. But I am going to stay positive that they keep this going. What little bots I played, this felt closer to H3 or almost even Reach. Glad they did some homework and went back to the roots.

A good start to a partial/soft reboot. I’m somewhat hopeful 343 can change things before release, and keep changing things for a very long time. I really don’t want a Bungie approach, where they push out a game and don’t bother fine tuning after that.

Hitting switch weapon and melee does it as well.
